It's only because Tuchel was available. Wouldn't have sacked Nagelsmann if he wasn't. Tuchel's availability had been hanging over Nagelsmann like the sword of Damocles for a while now.

it's open the possibility but Real Madrid job is open for him. and maybe one of Milan clubs. Nagelsmann with this Sp**s team is disaster waiting to happen no attacking manager suit Sp**s because of their current squad.

Wtf. Bayern has been struggling in the league (relatively speaking), but thought they were going to stick with him for the foreseeable future and accept the growing pains that come with a young manager unless there was a monumental collapse. Still in the CL after brushing aside PSG relatively comfortably as well.
Perhaps they feel it's worth gambling on Tuchel giving them instant success in the CL, or maybe there were irreconcilable differences between Nagelsmann and the hierarchy. Decision seems to have come out of the blue (although things haven't been entirely smooth sailing during his tenure tbf).
