This is exactly what I've been saying. All of these cowards on this forum projecting what City used to do in the 2nd half of a season with better players and a hungrier manager onto this very average one man team are immediately looking daft. They've had a lot of turnover in the last couple of seasons and now have a squad full of players who lack the pedigree of those who used to win them the small margin games.

Top 4 it is

Prioritise the cups and the champions league

Embarrassing today, really Embarrassing

We have to be realistic now. The last three games have cost us any chance of winning the league and now were are in a battle for the top four.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us fall 11 behind after next weekend. United will beat us.

Champions League it is.

We haven't beaten Brighton in 2 seasons now. We didn't win vs them last year at the Etihad either!

Definitely not. Not because a 6 point lead is uncatchable, but because Arsenal is simply a better team. The gap will keep growing

And we're back to looking down rather than up. Good times!

Surely even arsenal cant throw it away from here...

Cant miss the chances we have though.

Glad most will get a half decent rest now and we can regroup for the cups and top 4

We are not a 38 game league team yet.

Over two games we can beat anybody, but in a marathon we are a season or two away yet.

I think we could do quite well in the CL.

This team is weak, lacks fighting spirit, and some of its players aren't even good enough for a second-division team. That's the truth: when you fail to win your last three matches, when you take the lead only to concede an equalizer without a strong reaction, then you know you're not ready to compete. Add to that a stubborn coach whose lineup selection is a mystery. It is game over.

No chance. Glimpses of last season from pep & players re surfacing. We are in big trouble & the next few games are going to highlight some of our big issues. Pep won’t change tactics to suit the players & our squad quality is very poor

Top 4 and a cup run.

I'm always as optimistic as possible but it's 100% not happening.

Honestly I hope Arsenal beat Liverpool tomorrow (Yuck). Top 4 is our aim and let's be realistic we didn't stand a chance in Aug we've done well to get this far. We're a team in transition and to be 2nd place is relatively good going.

Top 4 Semenyo and Guehi in and a quality midfielder or two in the summer we'll go strong next season.

We will finish over 10 points at least behind Arsenal. They have a far better team and much better squad than us.

Top 4 was always our goal this season, and we still have a chance of that due to how poor everyone else have been.even tonight, Villa drew and Chelsea lost.

If that's our defence for the foreseeable future then we are massive outsiders now. As if a likely 8 point gap isn't bad enough. We will not keep a clean sheet any time soon and we look predictable as anything going forward again.

Big outsiders at present though it's a long season so who knows. Champs league might play a part in how Arsenal handle the run in but they look in much better health than us. They've got a real opportunity to open up a big gap in the next month or so I think.

On current form, we'll probably be overjoyed to finish top 4.

We haven’t been in the title race all season.

We’ve had periods where we’ve looked better, and had some good individual performances during the autumn, but we haven’t dominated and controlled games like genuine title challengers do. Not even close.

The harsh reality is that we haven’t got the players to dominate games, nor the physicality, and that’s why we get turned over when we go to places like Villa and Newcastle.

We need to buy two world class midfielders to play alongside Rodri if we want to be genuine contenders, because other than Rodri, none of our midfielders are good enough.

It’s going to take a lot more money and hard work before we get there.

Not that he was particularly good. But still a blow nevertheless and they'd have to increase the load on semenyo, cherki

Lol they're turning on Haaland now.

You can always rely on Haaland dropping off his goalscoring rate 2nd half of the season. People need to stop being fooled that he's reached a new level every start of the season he's always like this.

They've drawn three games in a row. Has that ever happened before under Pep’s reign? Can't describe how big a loss KdB, prime Rodri and Gundogan were. It would be the equivalent of us losing Vieira, Bergkamp and Gilberto at the same time. It takes both Foden and Cherki to compensate for KdB, and even then, it's not looking great. They signed an NPC to replace Rodri and they had to wheel out the old man and pray he can still run. Finally, Reinjnders, whom I rate highly, can't hold a candle to Gundogan. Sadly for them, there isn't enough elite talent to replace their legends.

Regarding the incident this am with Gabby considering the time last season when Erling through the ball at Gabriel after scoring saying "be humble" then laughing & telling Mikel that after the game aswell. Why do all these pundits criticise any Arsenal players in any incidents like this, they all loved it when Erling did that last season, what is everyones issue with us?

No one ever critcises Erling for saying that but then he always pushes people, always having a go at the referees every game aswell though.

not only gundogan or kdb but there is also julian alvarez & gvardiol both step up in 23/24 season when mancity need goal in title race when 12 games left

we dont even know when city will drop point in 22/23 and 23/24 season because they always go crazy run with 7 or 8 or 9 win streaks

but since last season and this season we expect mancity drop point in a lot premier league match

even we expect mancity drop point when everytime they play (just like we expect city drop point next week against manutd) that because we know this is not prime mancity & not to mentioned their 2 best cb dias and gvardiol injury now

Insane.

If you replace Haaland with a ‘good’ EPL striker like Ollie Watkins or something they’d be in 9th place right now.
We should take Haaland off their hands then, I’ll happily give them Gyokeres, Jesus and Havertz in exchange for him.

Not sure how they can blame the guy who’s single handed got them challenging for the title. City’s biggest problem is their midfield hasn’t looked anywhere near as good since Rodri’s ACL injury.

Guardian reporting that Semenyo is done at 62.5m. Shame we didn’t sign him could have been the long awaited replacement for the Seaman jokes with that name.

the best metric is total spend not net spend that because net spend does not mean anything when the fact club will use that money again and again in every next transfer then at some point your net spent will become 0 or negative

so this is why there is no point when football fans use net spend as metric
