It's also largely his fault. He's always looking to make the final movement in the box to score, and almost never shows for the ball or runs the channel.

He's just not making himself available. Henry called him out again for his poor and disinterested movement.

City are clearly a worse team with Haaland than they were without a proper 9. Equally, they won the treble with him which they didn't without him. So there's trade offs to everything.

That simply isn’t true. This video shows very clearly how Haaland makes himself available and the team constantly avoid him and pass wide instead, according to Pep’s instructions. Here there’s numerous examples of him showing for an easy through pass.

I don't think they're a natural fit, City build up with short passes while Haaland likes playing on the edge of the line. The treble winning season, Man City were so direct for a Pep side. In fact, that's how they beat us.

Pep is like Arteta, everything is micro managed. City players are doing what they’ve been told to do. If you look at the clips in that video I posted you’ll see he played very differently for Dortmund, compared to City. He came deeper to receive the ball and dribbled through players. But he’s still scoring a goal a game even with the scraps he gets.

Haalanr Snr made me laugh. Perhaps we should just ignore the fact that City's achievements will always come with an asterisk attached since they should have been banned from CL, preventing their sole triumph, and financially doped their way to having such a ridiculous squad for so long.
