I'm not happy with that punishment if it is true. They'll get instant promotion and be back challenging for titles in 2 years.

They should get serious financial punishments too that means the amount they inflated deals by gets deducted from their PSR tally so they have to sell multiple players and downgrade their salary bill and build up again if they can

I am extremely disappointed if this is their punishment, but at the same time I am selfish enough of a bastard that if it guarantees Arsenal win the title, I will take it. We would win it anyway, but I do not care. I just want us to win it. We have earned it. All of us. No one would ever take it away from us, and I could not care less what some wunker has to say about it.

It will be 60 points this season when its getting clear we will win it in attempt to put shade on our title win.

60 points next season if City win it.

Then you will have the mod squad, sausage gang and haters club saying there is nothing shady going on.

Nothing will get concluded this season. The case is first of all working out if they are guilty. Then they have to work out the punishment. After that then City will appeal.

I want them to have to suffer for a full PL season knowing their season after is in the championship.
Exactly. If City get deducted 60 points, I want it to be enforced next season. So they will have to play an entire season knowing relegation is virtually guaranteed. Pretty much like Sheffield Wednesday this year and their season has been absolutely miserable.

Presuming the points deduction comes in next season am I the only one who is worried that 60 isn't enough?

I could see a scenario where a wounded City who feel badly treated could hit close to 90 points and three teams aren't good enough to get 30.

Leicester were 18th with 25 points in 2024/25, Luton 18th with 26 in 2024/24 so it isn't that unlikely.

Might be. They will be extra motivated to avoid relegation.

But on the other side they don't have the team from past times and have struggled this past two seasons.

I actually believe that the other PL Teams will run the extra mile in their City fixtures to really relegate them.

My only worry is that the point deduction won't be big enough. For example that it will only be like 40 points.

Thank you for posting this.

The way they have systematically cheated, deceived and in general just being a despicable club should get major reprecussions. Strip them off all their trophies since their "modern"-era and give them fines equal to each club's lost revenue caused by their cheating. For example a club who City directely damned to relegation, or lost CL revenue because City ended up in the top 4 etc. etc.

Let them sell all their players at a firesale, dissolve the club and take every penny they got and rebrand that stadium and make something new.

That's what they deserve. But what they'll get is a different story..

They literally lawyered up and dragging this out and it's financially inconsequential for one side. League/FA will settle soon.

Its shambles at this point. They can't self regulate because they allowed these nation states in who will just sue and take them into a decade long battle. All this nonsense just so league doesn't have government oversight over financial regulation.

They should have let the independent govt body handle this sorta ****.

They’re innocent until proven guilty but Pep leaving with 1 year left on his contract is somewhat sketchy. There’s surely something going on that he knew and we don’t
