A season in the Championship won't really make a difference. They'll be back a year later. They would probably even be able to keep most of their squad because of parachute money. Would just make a mockery of the Championship if you have City in it winning every game by 3 goals or more.

The only real punishment would be to send them down the pyramid like Rangers several years back.

Obviously all of the trophies Manchester City ‘won’ would need to be voided. I mean, nobody takes their ‘achievements’ seriously now, let alone when the cheating is proven for all to see. Horrible little club.
all the PL we won in the timescale from 09 to 2018 may need to be voided if the slim chance comes where we are guilty of the major charges. We will still keep the ones after 2018 no matter what and the trophies in other competitions

‘Slim chance’? Ok whatever helps you sleep. How embarrassing once proven, the club will always be labelled a cheat and a disgrace. Zero credit due ever under this ownership.

I don’t see that happening because it would open the door to lawsuits from clubs for historical damages and the whole thing would descend into anarchy.

I don’t think there will be retrospective punishments like that but let’s see.

I’m not sure if they would have a choice if we are found guilty there is going to be historical damage anyway I’m sure many clubs would sue us.

And if we are not guilty I’m sure we will sue the PL and some top 6 clubs which have said and done things to damage our name.

Can you give us a TLDR summary of the thread about this on bluemoon? What's the general feeling? I'm sure it'll be something about red mafia cartel etc.

I have read enough of the evidence to say that if they are found innocent I would be absolutely staggered. As if all 115 charges are false. 😂😂

Majority of them charges are very small things which would be a fine and also there are repeated charges which inflate the number to 115

Well, if the offences are repeated, it makes sense the charges are.

It will mostly come down to evidence admissability and what can be proven. Might be an Al Capone situation where the massive financial manipulation is impossible to prove as City group a) spent years witholding the financial information they are required to & b) will sure as **** have massaged any evidence as much as possible in the intervening period.

So they will inevitably get done for that witholding info and other similar charges, but all the hacked emails may show smoking gun, bullet holes and a ton of circumstantial evidence but no bullet or fingerprints.

If they get found guilty of the big charges, some form of banishment is inevitable, but if its only the easy to prove charges it would probably be small points docking, big fine and perhaps a transfer ban.

Retrospective punishments mean little tbh, once found guilty their 'titles' will be seen as more meaningless than they already are. They should face relegation or a huge points deduction for EVERY season they have cheated and their current owners should be forced to sell.
