Manchester City’s Financial Doping

"if" ManC founds guilty, does it mean Arsenal will crowned PL champions for the previous 2 years? And does it gives any satisfaction when you are crowned champions on paper?

It'll end up being some weak punishment that both sides can spin as a win. Minor points deductions / transfer ban but Man City don't get found guilty of half the charges so they can spin it as a witch-hunt that got out of hand.

What are we considering minor? Relegation is obviously the harshest punishment. Something like a 30 or 45 point deduction spread over the last 15 seasons on the face of it seems minor but I think that would take away 5 or 6 of their league titles.

Theoretically but no chance in reality, I think. Much more likely to see a relegation/series of significant points deductions over say three future seasons. Perhaps also big asterisks next to their titles for perpituity.

Not sure what’s will happen if the verdict comes down before the end of this season and 115 pursue the inevitable appeal, dragging it into next. Should add that they’ll find it’s tough to challenge an andverse outcome (as will the PL) absent some complete procedural **** ups in the arbitration process.

There should be a few trusted news sources able to attend, report the facts/arguments and people can make up their own judgement.

I highly doubt even if MC found giulty titles would be stripped.

Trying to decide what is a reasonable points deduction for their proposed offences. Everton got a 10 point (reduced to 6) deduction for breaching PSR rules by £16m over 3 years.

City are accused of intentionally obfuscating, exaggerating and fraudulently altering accounts to avoid rule breaches.

In any season they are found guilty the points deduction would need to be significantly larger than 10 points.

The fine on top of points deduction will need to cover all PL prize money they deprived others of as well as a punitive fine on top. They should be relegated to the bottom league really. That means at least 4 seasons outside the PL.

Forget MC, Everton should have a points refund.

They really have spent badly!

If MC do actually get a fine, deductions etc a lot of clubs will be looking at legal action.

titles won't be taken away from them because they didn't match fix like how juve did before and their punishment was relegation to serie B.

Man city punishment will depend on how severe are the 115 charges.

Then the only alternative is relegation this season

Uefa has warned ministers that England could be excluded from the European Championship it is co-hosting in 2028 over "concerns" that a planned independent football regulator could lead to "government interference" in the sport.

They won't get relegated they'll get very big fine and thier oil rich owners will pay it.
If they're found guilty there’s no way that happens - the penalty is set by the panel not the PL and even if the latter might consider that kind of approach( and fwiw I don’t think in the present climate re 115 they would or franjky could), the former certainly won’t be influenced in this way. Everyone knows that financial penalties alone are meaningless here.

If the UK government don't put thier hands in this man city will have very big punishment what I'm worried that uk government will intervene so thier relationship with middle east won't damage
