Blimey. It’s all somewhere upstream of this thread but in short…

Basically City claimed a win, the PL disagreed.

It was really just a score draw.

Then the PL amended and re approved the rules with the support of the majority of other clubs.

Now City are saying this approval was void and the rules need to be completely rewritten.

So in essence, Al Mubarak is trying to make good on his threat made to FIFA (revealed in the now infamous documents leak some years back) to “rather spend 30 million on the 50 best lawyers in the world to sue them for the next 10 years” than give in.

Wait is that it? So no point deduction or anything?

Anyway thanks for info. I might give up on football now.

No you're misunderstanding. These back and forths aren't the result were waiting for. This is technicalities to try and allow appeal I think

The big result is coming in the next month.

PL should have put City under transfer Ban till result of 115.

Pl should be sued as they are allowing Man City to rebuild.

notice how this verdict thing isn’t a hot topic given how terrible City have been this season. We were talking about this all week it seems in the previous 2 seasons

Isn’t that naturally how discourse is? This year it’s been focused on Liverpool as we were competing with them while City have been irrelevant. You hate your rivals and talk about their luck or them being rubbish or them cheating etc.

Doesn’t change anything for me. If they aren’t punished properly my long term faith in the PL and the sport is diminished. This topic of Chelsea and City has been a big thing for me for well over a decade.

Just waiting to see what happens.

Arsenal Quotes

No one could have imagined for a single second that he would come to us. Only David Dein, Sol, his agent, and I knew what was going on. When I called a press conference to announce the arrival of a new player, and Sol Campbell walked into the room full of journalists, it was a bombshell.
