Hopefully the three points are back dated (like their initial Etihad sponsorship was) and deducted from 2023/24 season to make us champions.
Anything less that relegation is a joke3 points would be taking the piss. Might as well not deduct them points at all.
If it's not at least double digits, it's a joke, plain and simple.

I find it almost impossible to believe this 3 points rumour.
Look at the points deductions other sides have had in recent years for very minor transgressions. No way can I see them getting away with just 3 points considering the number of charges.
I think they either get hammered or pretty much get away with it totally.
If they get a 3 point deduction I can see them giving Pep another 200m this summer to compete again lol
Wouldnt call it scaled back. Their net spend looks better now because of the investments done in the early days. They can easily sell for €200m without weakening the team. Sure helps when you get talents like Savinho for £25m(?) from your feeder club as well.City have certainly scaled back their investment since 20/21 season.
After sales Arteta’s had €635m investment, Pep €480m out of club funds. A real sign of intent from the Kroenke’s to close the gap between the two clubs.
I just cant see how if city are found guilty of the major fraud charges, they are not relegated at minimum, particularly given the precedent set with the penalties given in the everton/forest cases. It's a typical strategy to release a rumour that is outrageous (only 3pts reduction) so the, say, 10-12 pts reduction that happens feels like a big deal. When in reality they should be demoted to the Conference.
If we keep investing more, eventually we should catch them though, as long as we don’t keep giving players away.Wouldnt call it scaled back.
