The season before he moved to Arsenal he'd been on loan at Albacete, where he'd had an excellent season (by all accounts) - IIRC, Albacete had one of the better defensive records in the league that season, and stayed up as a result, whilst Celta ended up relegated.

Agreed. We have other threads to discuss him and the GK-situation.
