I genuinely just don’t think people rate the type of midfielder he is, especially nowadays as the sport becomes more and more NBA-ified. Most people rated him from 22-24 as one of the best in the league when he was playing well and creating. The last 2 years version of him hasn’t been doing that so he’s been criticized and questioned for that. Can’t say it’s unfair.

Im referring to how he's playing for Norway and specifically this world cup. Just something I've noticed in the past month

Bottom line. He’s not going anywhere. But he’ll need to be more healthy and brave next season. He leads the possession football ideology and many Arsenal fans want to ascend to pure attacking football so they don’t have to panic each and every match because score is so close. Its way too stressful.

He is playing well for Norway(getting in the attack), so hopefully he’ll play well for us. We’ll see.

I think we should keep him. He's level dropped but I think if he's fully fit and we can rotate him with Eze or Rogers or maybe play him togehter with Rogers I think we will see another Ode again.

But he's not unsellable like other player. If we get a hugh sum for him we can also think about selling.

Agreed - he's definitely not the same player but he's still a very high volume touch player who takes responsibility on the pitch and can help the team dominate possession. Bruno who is one of the best 8's around was anonymous, even though I keen on signing him.

If we've got a lead and need/want to maintain possession in the middle of the pitch, great Ødegaard has a role. Hasn't been able to influence much in either box for the past 2 years tho

Anyway I havent rated Ode performance for last two seasons. I probably been to demanding but I just dont see him as a captain or 350k/week player moving forward. I also dont think his body is made for any further PL league load. He would enjoy Italy or Spain more I feel.

Dont care much about the world cup performances. This world cup is kinda one of the biggest joke football has ever served. Not a serious tournament.
