Idk, I think words like frail for a pro athlete are a bit much. You could just say he’s underpowered and needs to bulk up. It’s like calling an athlete fat, when clearly no pro footballer is actually fat.

Not saying it’s as insulting as Lizzo, that’s obviously a different level.
Ahh I think this is over worrying even though it would be nice if everyone was just nice about everyone lol.

Someone calling him frail is obviously relative to his peers and an exaggeration. Exactly the same as people getting annoyed and calling a player or a team sh1t. Everyone knows they are a millions times better than any of us.

Can't be policing people exaggerating for effect it's a football forum full of emotional people.

Plenty of line crossing stuff does get said though

The idea that liking a player means you should just pretend that them operating blow their level is acceptable or normal makes no sense. He's shown himself to be capable of far more than what he has given the past 2 seasons and that is the chief reason people are disappointed in what they've seen from him.
Honestly the Ødegaard rhetoric hurts my head.

This is a guy who combined the best parts of Bruno Fernandes and Vitinha into one midfielder and we’re meant to ignore that and just be happy that he’s lost all aspects of the former but is still good at the latter.

It really confuses me/hurts my head.

Vastly superior 😅 good one father
Exposing ball knowledge here mate.

Özil came to Arsenal around the time I really started to understand the game on a deeper level and he legitimately made me take passes being perfectly weighted for granted.

I remember being confused seeing other top midfielders (ode included) mess up passes that Özil would make look easy. Took a few years for it to really sink in just how talented of a footballer he was.

I just saw someone in this thread try to sneak Madueke into a conversation with Havertz and Ødegaard when it comes to divisive players on A-M.

Mate, Madueke is not a ball players player. Nor is he a manager’s player.

The someone was @BigPoppaPump

Too many posters on here haven’t gotten over Özil and Lacazette even though it was miserable when they were here.

I’d rather be winning the league and in CL finals with Ødegaard than in Europa league with Özil/Lacazette. Some of you fan boy these players too much, they let Arsenal down.

You hate on Madueke because of Pepe and that he took Palmer’s place in England but regardless he’s favoured by both Arteta and Tuchel.

The whole point is you lot constantly sh*t on Arsenal players even though we are the best team in Europe while worshipping guys that finished 8th.

Don't know if you're trolling or not but you seem to be the fan boy here.

Bro come on
I don’t ‘hate’ on Madueke. He’s just not a top footballer and proves is basically every time he plays.

If Saka was fit Madueke wouldn’t have a career, let’s be real.

Im an Arsenal fanboy yes, why is it trolling to defend Arsenal players on an Arsenal forum?

I don't understand the problem with fair criticism from fans about a player that's also the captain. He's held to a higher standard. I'm not denying that he's one of the most talented players in the squad. But last two years he's not been at his best. We won last season despite him being out for the majority of the season. Don't know why you get so upset?

You do hate on him, literally all the time even in the last line of this post lmao are you going insane?

You were writing essays about how bitter you were over Pepe’s treatment in the Senegal gane threads and Youre bitter Madueke is Saka’s back up instead of him:

Pepe is a much better player than Madueke and was just platformed incorrectly.

Noni gets the ball exactly where he wants it and gets to do his favourite thing multiple times a game. Probably part of why we signed him in the first place as he’s a good fit for Arteta’s system. Just a mediocre player.

It’s not fair criticism you lot come here everyday talking about how sh*t all these players are even though they’re champions and CL finalists.

I don’t even know calling him a twink and vegan is fair criticism, a lot of it is fuelled by him being the captain and not Rice.

Alright fair enough, but let's debate right here and now. I think he's past his prime and he's taken us as far as he can. Would you say this is fair criticism? What's your opinion?

Oh if hating on him is the same thing as not rating him then sure, call me his biggest hater. I don’t think that’s what hating is though…
You were writing essays about how bitter you were over Pepe’s treatment and Youre bitter Madueke is Saka’s back up instead of him:
I’m not bitter lol. I think you add a lot more feelings to these things when it’s really just football talk. I believe that Madueke was a poor signing and a waste of funds and we’d have been in the same position, probably even better off if we’d have kept Pepe as Saka’s back-up all these years.

Unlike Kai and Ode who are genuinely divisive because they have clear good qualities, pretty much everyone on here doesn’t rate Noni as a top player.

You always do this thing where if people don’t rate a player it must be because of petty feelings. Perfect example below:
a lot of it is fuelled by him being the captain and not Rice.
I just don’t rate Noni, I think he’s a brainless winger type and signing him for 50M and giving him 150kpw will forever be an insane decision.

He had lots of injury problems, he needs to stay fit and play consistent games. But no point writing him off, Arteta is starting him.

It is based around feelings, agendas and narratives though you can say it’s not but you’re the one writing soliloquies about Pepe and using Pepe to sh*t on Madueke. Maybe it’s subconscious but you can’t say it’s objective.

Madueke isn’t a poor signing because we won the league where he played as back up for Saka, Pepe had us in 8th place.

Maybe if just comes down to if you care about aesthetics rather than actual results. Cant really brag about Madueke in the group chats with the United and Chelsea fans.

Exactly. We've seen him look like he was the heir to KDB in terms of the clear best midfielder in the league and possibly the best player in the league. Now I'm supposed to applaud the occasional forward pass when the guy was giving me immaculate pressing, chance creation and double digit goals? How the hell am I happy with beef jerky when I thought it was Wagyu?

It was a unique moment, a football fairytale. Was there anyone left who still believed I could give that kind of performance? Probably only Arsène Wenger.
