Should Ødegaard stay or go?

  • Keep him

  • Sell him

Considering the way this guy who has been pivotal to our rise and is our captain has been treated at times, his haters deserve to be sat down at every opportunity because they will fundamentally never actually shift their agenda. Sad that he has to shut his own fans up
Treated like what? He’s an Emirates favourite. Don’t think he cares about what twitter and AM thinks about him. Gets a phenomenal reception every game.

I told you so
I’ll admit I was angry he wasn’t subbed at half time, but he was excellent in the 2nd half.
If he performs like that then I’ve got no complaints, he’s an excellent player, he’s just so weak - people criticised Fabio Vieira for his lack of physical, and athletic ability but we’ve got malnourished Ode as captain.

Why did you want him subbed at half time? He created two big chances in the first half

Fair point, he will care about what’s said online tho. Think he deleted twitter a while ago but he did that for a reason

People want him to be Rice or Gabi. He’s not that, will never be that, don’t need him to be that. He’s the conductor. And that’s what we need and he’s one of the best in the world at that

He was rubbish the last two years though that can’t be argued. Almost certainly a fitness thing. He was back at the World Cup.

At fault for their goal but grew into the match and was exceptional in the 2nd half. He's not quite at his absolute best in all phases but he looks a lot more like the guy we fell in love with on a week to week basis now.

He needs to play with this kind of freedom and intent all the time. I would much rather a turnover every once in a while from being relentlessly incisive than the safe and boring guy we saw the last 2 seasons.

What pisses me off the most is we get so many curmudgeons on here complaining about how football has no beauty anymore and then we have a throwback player with the class of the midfielders of old and people can’t appreciate him at all, it annoys me honestly. There’s only like 3 players at all similar to Ødegaard lmao. He’s one of a dying breed
There were people that thought Rogers was coming in to replace him as our main AM.🤣

It was clearly a fitness issue. It was basic common sense that a player who had two POTY awards before he reached his mid twenties and then falls off with the entire team and then has an injury plagued season might, you know, be suffering from some injury and fitness issues. He said as much when he came back last year and said the knee issues was no longer troubling him and he’s been fit ever since.

Mans were acting like he was 32 and there was no recovery for him like as if every top player turns up in every single season of their 13-15 year career.

It was also no doubt a confidence thing. People were justified for being concerned it wasn’t just one off season.

If he and Kai prove their fitness then the extensions are coming. No doubt about that.

Ødegaard has stamina to rival a player like Rice though. He can move all game long. Nowadays in this league you HAVE to have one physical trait that separates you from the field as a forward imo. Odegaards stamina is that for him. It’s very hard to mark him out the game

Naturally when you're out injured, confidence takes a hit as well.

Martin in form is litteraly the best footballing 10 in the league. Bruno Fernandes imo is the only one who tops him because he's a g/a monster, but not a better footballer.

The whole team fell of in 24/25 and he was injured for most of 25/26 - missing 25 games last season.

Carrying an injury will always impact end product and confidence, particularly someone who relies on peak physical shape to ensure his feignts and turns are effective.

Arteta specifically said yesterday now his family issues have settled down from last season.

So there was a few reasons for what he wasn’t producing last season l.

I admit I was worried about him at half time buy he responded well.

This is exactly what he needs to be doing more of. Playing of Havertz. Get into goal scoring positions and deliver. With this start he is having productive wise I want him to aim for 10 PL goals.

When this guy is on song we're a delight to watch. The team is literally built around him. He's the conductor to the team's true playing style/identity. I really want him to return to his best cause that's when we render teams - even low blocks - quite helpless.

Notice how we've not been needing corner kicks to force open a game for a while now? You can't help but think it's coincided with his return to form.

I agree with his comment relating to Bruno's performances so far compared to Ødegaard and Cherki, and player awards.

Ratface is the most overrated footballer in world football & will never be part of a team which challenges for major honors. Empty stat merchant with nothing else in his game

Speak to any non-deluded United fan and they'll admit Bruno was just spamming assist attempts all of last season even to the detriment of the team often
That assist record + POTS was an absolute CLOWN SHOW. There’s no other way to put it. The real OGs in the Manchester United fanbase must have been livid. Great way to illustrate their fall from grace as a serious elite team.

Arsenal Quotes

Everybody knows how much I love Arsenal - I became a fan. And to be out here [in front of the Emirates as a statue] celebrating a goal against Sp*rs, there's not much else to say after that. Like I've said before: Once a Gooner, always a Gooner.
