Should Ødegaard stay or go?

  • Keep him

  • Sell him

People robbing him of assists every game. Was great in the first half & led the breaks in the second half. Well & truly back, just need the offence to help him out by finishing the chances he keeps on giving them
He genuinely could be on about 6 assists already this season if we just finished at an average level.

Got hooked again, back to regular programming I suppose

not sure where people saw assists, even the pass to Saka was poorly weighted. a 4v2 turned into a 1v2 on a poor angle, even if passing to Saka in the long run is the best choice.

The pass to Havertz was just meh, we keep doing that back pass play and it never really delivers.

I know he needs a break but we def went down a level with Merino in the middle of the park instead of him. Played really well, and in a way it was awesome to see him play well despite the rest of the team not looking super threatening. Makes you think “oh this is a player that can shine even when the tactics and game states turn against him.” But in another way it was also mildly concerning to see our metronome play so well and it not be enough to uplift the performance of the team as a whole

He was sensational again yesterday. Blows my mind his close control with the ball. Genuinely one of the best in the world. Just when you think he’s going to lose it he manages to keep hold.

He’s back in the sort of form that if people wanted to compare him to another great Arsenal number 10 then I could listen.

Sunderland did really kicked him so much yesterday i usually question Ode in these kind of games because he hide yesterday however he tried he should had 2 assists if Kai and Saka were more serious

He's so lucky Saka is taking all of the strays. The weak link in a comprehensive defeat by a mile. 0 discussion.

Ødegaard looked like a deer in headlights, he struggled with Brighton's persistent pressing. Hopefully he can work around teams that play this way.

Ode continue his good international performance with two assists today against Denmark. Shame Arsenal don't have Haaland it seem ode usually assist him alot

His biggest problem against Brighton was having to hold Bruno's hand. I believe in being fair and when Ødegaard struggles and is at fault, I have consistently called it out. He wasn't good against Brighton but I think Bruno's positioning and struggles were a significant factor.

He was having to drop deeper than we've seen him all season because Bruno was playing higher up the pitch whereas MLS has been playing deeper. Once he did get on the ball in a deeper area than he should have been in, he was then looking for Bruno who was coughing the ball up immediately.

I blame his Brighton performance partly on him but also partly on Arteta getting the balance of the midfield woefully wrong and then failing to adapt. I don't think Ode was particularly individually poor.

He was strolling around, that's unacceptable from our captain.

We are Arsenal, not united. Players needed to hold their L and keep trying, but we gave up entirely and he and Kai were the worst of the lot.

Arsenal Quotes

Arsenal have always been the club of the people, the streets. Arsenal was one of the first clubs to really have black players, so it did represent the mass of the UK and how London is. I hope people at the club know that and who are they playing for.
