Can't see how he got it over Saliba and Gabriel when they've been solid for the entirety of the season and our defence has been the best part of the team this year.

Attackers normally get it. Think it was the right decision tbh.

He's the on pitch leader and our defense really begins with him pressing as well as him being our best creator in attack. Obviously our defenders have been brilliant but I think Ødegaard added the intangible this season of being the clear on field example of how we want to operate as a team which is relentless in all phases of the game. When nothing was working the team would often look to him to make something happen and more often than not he found a way.

He was far & away the POTS for us. Would've won the PL POTS if we had won the league

Disagree.

I had it

1. Rice
2. Saliba
3. Gabriel
4. White
5. Ødegaard
6. Saka

I think defensive players get overlooked and Rice, Saliba, Gabriel and White should be lock on for team of the season.

I had Ødegaard as our best player last season. However this season he had too many poor games when Havertz was in midfield and our midfield was unbalanced. As soon as Havertz was moved CF and Jorginho came into the side, Ødegaard was back to his creative best being a joy to watch.

Do yourselves a favor and watch Haaland's goal from today, Ødegaard's pass is genuinely unreal:

Literally passes between two defensive lines, perfectly weighted and curves it around Kjær. One of the most ridiculous passes I've seen in recent memory
I actually thought we played pretty well in the second half, but as always Norway can't forego the addiction to ridiculous defensive errors.

Categorically disagree! In terms of totality of play ( all phases of the game, offense, defense, special teams) Ødegaard lead by example! Distinctly recall him leading defense from the front, even late, late in games. His workrate went up this season and he scored some important goals and would have a boatload of assists. He just stands out. You can't give it to Saliba without Gabriel and vice versa either.

Completely deserved, really good this season. Sometimes think he presses too much; Arteta needs to consider these things

Gabriel deserved second with Ben White third imo

Ben white was really poor in the first half of the season then was incredible in the second half. Not enough over the season to be up there imo compared to other players.

I think White wasn't himself in the first 3 months, but been pretty good from Novermber.

I’ve been a big Ben White fan. Thought his 1st season was solid, was great last season, and this season was immense for 2nd half of the season.

But there was a stretch, maybe 3 months as you say, maybe a bit longer, where he was quite crap this season IMO. Was so weak in 1on1 scenarios, had his positioning way off. Was letting players cut in or go to the byline with ease. He was also non existent going forward.

I was hearing he was playing through an injury. It kinda seemed like he got back to his best after the winter break / Dubai trip.
