I didn’t get 5 likes on that post for nothing. @Batman @Rex Stone @2Smokeyy @Oxeki and @El Realista are cornerstone baller experts on this forum. Just saying!
It's like people in this forum can't remember anything past over one month. It's like literally some here completely forgot how poor our defence looked without Saliba. And for the love of freaking god how are you going to compare Saliba presence with Timber. Timber is pretty good but he is not going to win any long ball against Haaland like Saliba does every game. Saliba is like the best metronome of defending, the guy knows the exact moment when to get his foot to dispose attackers and he is so good doing that he never relies on being dirty. And we don't need to say how good he is with the ball. Sorry but he is generational CB quality and he is going to be on top with all those big names CBs in history.

Absolute shocking state of affairs, his girlfriend should deal out some stern words, or close the shop for a month.
You don’t close the shop on the captain of Arsenal FC mate not unless you want to be his ex.

Half the forum is ready to spread their cheeks for him man.

It is not that. They didn't forget what happened 2 seasons ago. But they also remember we had the quality of Holding as his replacement.

Of course Saliba is good. We'd prefer no to lose him. They aren't downplaying his quality.

Just acknowledging that we have better options available to hold things over than when Holding was here 2 seasons ago.

Nah, no one gives the quality he does. Yes you can play White there, or even Tomiyasu and they will do the work, but both of them won't give the security and football Saliba is giving to the team. We face city without him and we don't survive.

We faced City without Saka, and we survived. We actually won.

Yes, everybody knows Saliba is good, El Obviousta.

Again, nobody is disputing or forgetting his quality.

At the same, Ben White, Tomi, and Timber are better contingency options than Rob Holding was two years ago.

People thought the world was going to fall apart when Ødegaard got hurt.

Everybody says we have all these world class players. One less, isn't going to break us..

This team is resilient and finds a way.

We got battered by City without Saliba and there was absolutely none of this talk of Gabriel having a leash on Haaland because Haaland did whatever he wanted and we couldn't play out from the back. He is absolutely critical to what we do in all phases of the game. The entire psyche of the team is damaged when he's not out there. Gabriel Jesus admitted as much.

That was 2 years ago.

Facts about what actually took place trump your speculation about how we would cope now. The reality is that we've gotten through being without Ødegaard for a while twice now. We've coped without Saka. We have played Saliba every single minute in the league since he came back from injury and you have absolutely no idea how we would cope without him now. You're guessing when how we have coped without him is not guesswork but established record.

I thought this was the one guy we couldn’t replace because we don’t have anyone like him but we’ve done incredibly well since his injury. Still wouldn’t back us to win the title if he was missing for the rest of the season thankfully he will be back in a month or two.
