Facts about what actually took place trump your speculation about how we would cope now. The reality is that we've gotten through being without Ødegaard for a while twice now. We've coped without Saka. We have played Saliba every single minute in the league since he came back from injury and you have absolutely no idea how we would cope without him now. You're guessing when how we have coped without him is not guesswork but established record.

So you don't think going from Gabriel Calafiori or Gabriel White would be much better than going to Gabriel Holding? Which is what we would do now compared to what we did then

I mean let's say Saliba is a 10, Gabriel a 9, Calafiori/White as 8s or 7s and Holding as a 3. Then using alegebra:

Gab+Saliba = 19
Gab+Holding = 12
Gab+Cala =16/17

19>16>12

A 3 is a bit generous?

Haven’t missed him and his weird DJ on drugs antics at all.

Won’t be long before Mick moves on from him, just as I said about Ramsdale, JaySus and IDF Zinny.

A-M always catches on late. Like the guys you said but also guys like Leno, Torreira, Kolasinac, Laca, Ceballos, etc.

League is very weak
Why are you so negative @GDeep™ ? Seem to not rate any of our best players apart from Saliba. Have some fun for once you miserable sod 😂
I rate all of our players, don’t know where you’re pulling this from. 2 of the last 3 years, including this year, I have tipped us for the league, backed Mick for a new deal, countless times said this group deserves success before it breaks up - now Saliba is being linked with Real.

Who is WC, who is great, who can be replaced, who can do more, those are different debates where I might be harsher than most.

I don’t think it’s a fun team or great football we’re watching, saw this debated on the mega pro Arteta AFTV recently, so I’m not the only one.

As long as the results keep coming I'm fine with the rugged football. It is a thing that is being debated outside of this forum though.

I'd also much rather have Ødegaard in the team than without. Whether we outgrow him down the line, it's possible. The tide changes for creative players quicker than most other positions I feel.

We need him back still, he gives us that X factor between the lines, which elevates the likes of Saka and Havertz

I want him to get back and combining with Saka and Timber/White again. Thats always gonna be cash money for us going forward.

We are averaging 47% possession. Outside of Leicester has a team ever won a league with having that amount of possession. We are much poorer on the ball without him. There seem to be growing idea without fans we don’t need ball players and this advanced Dyche style is good enough. It’s absolutely not

We are averaging 47% possession.

I’m not gonna debate that Ødegaard isn’t massive for us, he clearly is. But the 47% needs to be understood in context- it’s a small sample size, we played two halves with a man down and we’ve played 3 big away games.

The possession is definitely down on what you’d expect still but it’s obviously not relegation team levels when taken in context.

We had 46% possession second half vs Southampton. Our ability on the ball without ode diminishes significantly. Our need is to get someone else with ode who’s good on the ball. Not remove our only great ball player
