Very good performance from the skipper last night. Given the position he plays, a lot of attention is on the goals he scores and creates however the way he knits our football and leads our press is so important.

I feel when he plays well (which is often), the team plays well, such is his importance, which is a bit worrying because I think the opposite is true. City were never fully reliant on one creative midfielder. We need to bolster our creative options in the middle.
