You agree with everything that goes against our best players while defending plumbers like Holding and Havertz. It tells me Ode is doing well
Holding and Havertz have won more trophies than pretty much everyone at Arsenal.

Quick question. Can someone explain when our media darling captain will show balls and leadership qualities. So far this season exhausts with his off ball pressing qualities. Continues to be Casper in any big game we play.

To me big Gabi is a world class CB. I would also say Partey on his day can be world class cause not a lot of players in world football are as good as him at dictating play from that DM position on and off the ball.
I’d say Saka is clearly world class, only thing you can say about him if you want to be super strict is that you’d want to see him have a great run-in or CL late stage performance.

The CBs imo are both WC although Saliba is a bit overrated imo.

Partey defo can be WC on his day but so can Ode so I’m struggling to rank one above the other although I’ll admit that Partey’s skillset is much rarer.

Lastly is Rice, I think he’s world class but I also find it hard to say it out loud, not sure why.
With Nwaneri getting closer to a starting role I wonder if Ødegaard's future might be as a Modric type DLP. As a 10 he slows the game down too much and often times isn't as direct as you want him to be in that role.
Yeah I’ve always believed that Ode can give you a world class perfomance, maybe even a WC season as an AM but it’s not really the position where he’ll establish himself as the best of the best. He’s simply not dynamic and too poor of a finisher to be an elite AM imo. CM is better suited to his skillset, think he could be WC there for sure.

He is probably not sleeping as he is tasked with at least half of the night time calls to the baby. Gender equality in Scandinavia is strong. Hence why Mo Sala never had a similar form drop

Man i should be posting this in the manosphere thread, ive gone all tate.

Yup, Miss feminist is tired all day from spending Martin’s money he needs to do half the feedings. The societal wreckage of women’s lib is mind boggling.

I think that rating and judging a player when they are in a particularly good or bad run of form is a poor way of assessing their true level and ability because the natural bias is toward their recent performances. A couple of seasons ago when he was scoring goals for fun and playing well he was the best midfielder in the league and now he’s in a bad run he’s an overrated bum. Hes shown enough during his time with us to suggest that this might just be a dip in form rather than being his actual level and I would give him at least till the end of the season to prove it.

Who scored the opening goal in our big game over the weekend?

One of the things that I will never understand is why people struggle so much with nuance. 2 things can be true at once. It can both be true that Ødegaard personally would benefit from having teammates who can finish the chances he creates more consistently (everyone agrees we lack finishers so I'm not sure why it's controversial to say in the context of Ødegaard's struggles) as well as him personally having a poor season. They're not mutually exclusive things.

What Ødegaard can control individually in terms of his own finishing and decision making is rightly being criticized. What he can't control in terms of what happens after he creates a clear-cut chance that isn't capitalized upon can also be discussed without being some kind of coverup of his individual struggles.

When everyone said that it was a problem that Saka's teammates literally don't move when he has the ball, everyone agreed, and we also were still capable of pointing out the very rare moments when Saka made a mistake on an individual level. I don't see why Ødegaard's individual mistakes now mean that we can't point out the ways in which he is being let down by profligate finishing when profligate finishing is the talk of the forum in every other context. That's strange to me.

He has been horrific. This is worst form he has had at club. He might need a rest, i still think he is a class player but something is not right with him. My gut feeling; every time a man is destroyed mentally this rapidly, and there is no apparent physical or financial cause; there is a woman behind it. This to is on Ayatollah Mik and his dumb advice to get married. When 3/5ths of them get taken to cleaners it is only going to dawn on them how terrible of advisor Mik has been personally and professionally

Ps remember what happened to Fat Ron at the WC final in Paris 98. Same exact thing, Borg went from Superman to tour joke with one bad divorce
Wtf man

Come on brother. You usually have balanced opinions. Don't provoke me with such cheap shots. Even in the city game he faded away after his goal. How would you rate his season so far ? Hiw would you rate his leadership qualities when his team needs him the most ? When we are not playing well does he rise to the occasion ? He is our captain after all. The team should rely on him in the most difficult moments.

No absolutely.

I dont think he is good enough to play as our #10 right now. That could change, but based on this season I struggle to see him improving there.

I think he needs a different role in the team, a role a bit deeper or in direct competition with another deep lying playmaker like Zubimendi. When he is deeper and pulling the strings from there, he definitely shows a much better side to his game, which he has done this season to be fair to him.

I just use deductive reasoning. Martin before marriage a great player. Martin after signing up for feminist slavery went to sh.t. He isn’t injured, he isn’t under paid. But his feminist wife makes him wake up at 300 am and put a fake titty on and feed the kid. Because it’s tiring spending Ode’s money all day and it’s sexist for him not do his share. As if making her and her kid multimillionaires for life is nothing.

Not sure what's up but he's clearly way off form.

I thought maybe he rushed back too soon from injury but even his decision making, which is usually excellent, is way off at the moment.

I've got faith in him to come good.

Get him on some vitamins or something too. The lad looks really physically gaunt at the moment.

Not physical enough , not decisive enough for a 10, doesn't have the drive with the ball. Artetas biggest issue is making him the captain basically making him undroppable and he needs to build around him , when he is a squad player at best.

I think people are being a little harsh. He was playing well until the sucker punch goal, at which point the whole team just wanted the final whistle.

It would have been a horrible game to play, we were desperate, forcing things, hence why players kept making mistakes.

Really need a picture of him where Salt Bae feeds him a wagyu beef to get these vegan rumours out of this world. Can't be having our captain eating peas and carrots.

Arsenal Quotes

Everybody knows how much I love Arsenal - I became a fan. And to be out here [in front of the Emirates as a statue] celebrating a goal against Sp*rs, there's not much else to say after that. Like I've said before: Once a Gooner, always a Gooner.
