Does anybody actually rate Rice and Ødegaard for their looks? This is the club of Henry and Pires how are those 2 considered good looking? Nothing wrong with them mind but hardly pin up material.

No. Just Calafiori and Arteta.

Ødegaard currently has 5 goals (all comp) take away his brace against PSV, he has 3 goals, 2 in premier league
he has 7 assists (all comp) 3 in premier league
yeah, he is going through a very bad season.

At this stage he should be adding his skills, like direct freekicks, but all we see is he has regressed.

It could be that Ødegaard’s future is deeper. I know he had that season where he scored a lot of goals but other than that season he’s been pretty useless in the penalty area. Really 1 footed and predictable, not scoring any half chances, not reliable on first time cut backs to score. He’s of course (until recently) a top player so he has still looked ultra valuable playing really far up the pitch, but maybe it’s just not where his future is.

When on form Ødegaard is really slick on the ball, can play between the lines, and is press resistant. It sounds very much like he could be deployed deeper (LCM in our 433) and play a bit more like a regista. He has the profile to be a success there similar to when we moved Cazorla to CM.

I don’t see Arteta doing it due to the Ødegaard x Saka connection but would be nice to see a Rice Ødegaard Nwaneri midfield in our games vs park the bus sides next season. Ødegaard playing on his stronger side opens up different passing avenues also.
He already gets utilized like this since last season. Most games he drops deep to help with build up because of his movement and being press resistant. However I'm starting to think this team moved on on Ødegaard like Jesus and Zinchenko. They were really good for our project to bang but to win big trophies more is needed. If we really go for Zubimendi in the summer , he will be this press resistant guy in the build up. I don't think a Zubi, Rice, Ødegaard works. Instead of Ode we need a powerhouse type of 8/10 who can drive forward, dribble past players and score/assist. Like Musiala for example. I hope Nwaneri can be this player in the future because he's got the capacity.

0/10 double leg coming from Ode. Then we can move on in summer.
The 0/10 is a guarantee. He will **** his pants for these games. The move on in the summer unfortunately won't happen. Hopefully Arteta at least has got the balls to strip him off the captaincy and move him on the bench to be a rotation for Nwaneri or play him in the easier games against midtable and relegation fodder so Ødegaard can show his amazing first touch and fancy spins.

Dreadful. If you're still making up excuses then you don't care to be objective.

He's not doing the bare minimum you expect from a professional, let alone a Captain.

Who does blind flicks in the middle of the pitch at 1-0 up? If a kid does that you hook them.

Was our best midfielder easily. You have an agenda. You probably hate blondes

He made a few tackles, so credit to him for showing at least some effort. But man, you just know nothing is gonna happen when he has the ball these days.

He'll be fine. Everyone is mentally tired now. Let's hope he gets back his momentum when Saka is back, or at least before next season starts.
