No need. Not even we won't need 100m + we won't need any money because Nwaneri will be twice the player in 2,3 years time, especially if Ødegaard continues to decline.
What happens when Nwaneri picks up an injury and his form drops off? You’ll be talking about Nwaneris “decline” but how it doesn’t matter as we have Dowman who will be 3x the player in 5 years time. AM is something else man 🤣

You remember the hype around Ødegaard at 16 years old? Same thing happening with Nwaneri it seems. Lad has tons of talent but still has it all to prove.

One big difference. Ødegaard was loaned to multiple teams before he finally had a good season with Sosiedad when he was like 20/21 ?Nwaneri is 17 and even though he has more playing time because of a lot of injuries you can clearly see his talent and output. Hopefully he will live up to the hype. Only time will tell but signs are really promising so far.

I am holding him to the highest standard as our leader and captain of this team. He hasn't done his job for quite some time now. You can talk about magical moments and flair all you want but he is failing miserably at about amost everything else. It won't be hard for Nwaneri to get his role.

If you say so.

Thanks for the constructive conversation
I am sure you are correct. Nwaneri will have no trouble taking our leader & captains position, despite playing less than half a season in the premier league whilst Ødegaard has been named in 3 teams of the season across 3 different leagues alongside being captain of his national side and yet to come into the prime of his career at the age of 26.

Don’t even think his loan at Sociedad was good. The loan was a punt, even the permanent signing was to a degree. But it worked out. The bashing after one poor season is insane. Also, people saying his form dropped off after he went vegan and lost weight etc. B*llocks. It happened as soon as grew that almost transparent goatee. He shaves off those wisps, he cooks. You wait.

You have no idea how I hope you are right brother. Unfortunately I don't think we'll ever see us winning a major trophy with him as a captain. He is not it. Hope I'm wrong on so many levels and you mock me in the end.

I woudn't say a word against him if he wasn't given this huge responsibility and stature at the club. Even at your lowest you have to lead this team and not hide behind Rice. I don't know if its the goatee or his diet, but he's got to get his **** together.

Didn’t know any other way to get my point across at this stage bro. I just find it crazy, the hate Ødegaard seems to be getting for having done virtually nothing wrong other than not be up too his normal standards despite having injuries and being overplayed for the past 3 seasons. He’s our captain and no matter what his form he works his socks off for the team.

I’d argue we miss him more than we miss Saka. Nwaneri is already a fantastic player with huge potential as you say…. Yet nowhere near Ødegaard’s level. 👍

It’s because some of our fans have developed love for duels and just want 10 grapplers on the pitch. This team is not worth watching without Ode

Yea I could understand your points but you lost me at Saka. Saka is "the guy" in this team. Before he got injured he was on par with Salah as output. Probably you have seen the stat that Saka still leads the list of big chances created 3 months after he got injured.

That can’t be it for me. Ødegaard leads the press most of the time & shows more ‘hustle & bustle’ than almost everyone else. I agree, hard to watch without Ode’s magic. Even on a bad day I see him do something that no other player on the pitch can.

Absolutely back him to regain form again. Hopefully in the champions league, or next season at worst. As one of our best performers in the last 3 years I can’t remember him having a dip like this but like Saka & Gabriel he has earned that right imo.

Saka, Ødegaard, Gabriel & Saliba are our WC players for me. Obviously we miss any of them should they get injured but to me seems like we miss Ode the most when he’s unavailable.

He will regain form. He's clearly not right following the injury and he's been played constantly ever since, not to mention there are probably new things going on in his home life.

You don't suddenly lose what we've seen consistently for two seasons before this.

He knows this himself too as he's clearly said he's not at his usual standard this season.

This seems to be true of most of the squad this season (barring Gabriel & Raya).
Think people underestimate how much the last couple of seasons have taken out of the players. Barring injuries, I see us walking the league next season in the same way Liverpool have this season.
