If he could play at a higher level for the rest of the tournament it would be a big boost. We know the capability is in there somewhere. Can't have lost it all in 9 months....
He needs to find himself

Team moved on on him. If he does not catch up, Arteta will quickly find a solution. Either through the market or internal promotion. Anyway next season will be crucial. I expect the team to carry him till the rest of this season and then we will see. All of his excuses will be exhausted. He will get used to his new lifestyle with a baby, his injury last year should have subsided already and he will have a summer pre season to build fitness. Arteta won't hesitate to bin him if he continues like this.

You know when we have the opposition camped in, that’s when Ode is most comfortable and does his best work. Where he has been awful is fast paced transitional games/moments.

And actually when you really think about it, he’s always kinda been like that, now it’s just 10x.

Majority of our games is like the former tbf but idk if it’s enough. It’s a big part of why we struggle against teams like Villa and Newcastle who make the games fast and furious.

He’s earned another season anyway but he needs to show up.

I feel maybe being Captain putting pressure on him if that making him preforming like that then there no shame giving it to someone else.

He'll be first one that tell you his performance this season not been acceptable

Hmmm. I’m still not sure if this is just a blip. I think it is but we’ll see, it’s very worrying because even the things he used to do very well he’s barely pulling off.
His career here been excellent so imo it's just blip we'll know more next season

A shadow of his former self. Really strange why.

Team moved on on him. If he does not catch up, Arteta will quickly find a solution. Either through the market or internal promotion. Anyway next season will be crucial. I expect the team to carry him till the rest of this season and then we will see. All of his excuses will be exhausted. If he plays like last two years where he had 23 g/a and 18 g/a in the PL and I think with more clinical forwards even more assists, everybody would say we can't replace him.

So his problem is his form and it seems like it has to do with confidence/mindset. So we should try to help him find his form but of course we also need someone who can replace him if it's not working. Arteta's luck is that might be Nwaneri or otherwise we should be looking for a young talent or someone who could play with Odeegaad.

And even if he doesn't play so good he still does so much off the ball. He's dictating our press, is running and closing gaps ... Compare that to Bellingham yesterday.

He was really poor in the first half but it really can’t come as a surprise as the guy’s confidence is clearly in the gutter.

I think it would actually help him if the captaincy is moved going into next season and he can just focus on his game.

The one positive was he actually worked the ball onto his right foot and took a shot for once. He needs to do it more often even if it doesn’t go in, to have more unpredictability for defenders.

Mods are unethical! Özil, come assist me please!
For me, he doesn't look healthy. Way too skinny like he hasn't been eating his protein. He used to have that edge and was stronger. The skill is still there...but we need him healthy.

He's having a bad season, it's clear it's completely psychological with him, he hasn't become a terrible player overnight, he was our best player last season, he'll be back.

For two straight seasons he was top class, even earlier in the season when he came back from injury he raised our level immensely. It's a blip & nothing else

Arsenal Quotes

When I am asked why I stayed at Arsenal so long.. my answer is simple; I never wanted to be anywhere else. I could have earned a lot more elsewhere, but that wouldn't compensate for all the good years at Highbury.
