He looked very weak when he joined us but last year it was like it got even worse.

IMO I think he needed to add some muscle at the cost of agility when he came here. Now it might be to late for him. It probably isnt 100% on his strength level but I think it would have helped.
It's not like Ødegaard is super agile, I don't think he needs to do anything drastic to his regiment or body. He needs agility and stamina more than strength in his position and with his style of play.

Nah he needed more strength to be able to cope better with the demanding league. Has nothing to do with his position. And Im not talking about some insane amount of muscle mass either. Just to be able to ride challenges and impacts better.

He is naturally very weak but with elite stamina.

Does he need to have some kind of scan to check the density of his bones? These collisions he's having shouldn't be resulting in such severe injuries .

@hydrofluoric acid is right he needs to do strength work. Not hypertrophic stuff to put on muscle but actual max strength work to increase his bone density. I been joking about the osteoporosis stuff but I’m actually worried now icl.

He needs to figure it out because the way things are going… it’s not looking good brev and it would be a criminal waste of talent 😔

Can't recall the challenge but knee clashes usually end badly for one player. I wouldn't be reading too much from this one. He's usually been quite resilient outside of the ankle last year.

Bruh he literally just got back from a shoulder injury because he fell to the ground…

For what? Were you not one of the people complaining about Nwaneri not getting minutes in the middle?

Either way, Eze isn't a creator or tempo setter. It will all be on Zubimendi now.
I've been saying for two years that we needed another creative player in central positions outside of Ødegaard. Check my posts. Nwaneri will feature in midfield more, but he is still a teenager. I wouldn't want him playing 30 games if Ødegaard were out for an extended period. Eze is definitely a creator. Do you have the stats to say otherwise?

Knee on knee collisions can be horrendous, anyone who has been caught in one can attest. Impact injuries are an occupational hazard, and I don’t think necessarily indicative of much else (generally).

How do you think people tend to injure their shoulders? Doing little windmills in the air?

The main worry is shoulder injuries (if structural) have an extraordinarily high recurrence rate.

Ye I’m being dramatic. Worst injury I ever had was “falling to the ground” and managing to dislocate my shoulder when trying for an ambitious catch on the boundary in a cricket match.

Sucked ass.

What’s weird though is Ødegaard’s shoulder was just meant to be “a knock” - there was no ligament/ tendon / muscle damage or anything was there? I’d get it if he tore something but idk man. Whole thing is weird.

Arsenal Quotes

Right from his very first match, when Patrick Vieira was as yet unknown to the English public, he showed just how talented he was. No one disputed his ability, and he gave me the credibility and the hold over the club that I needed to take it in the direction I wanted. He and Emmanuel Petit became a duo that would remain forever etched in the memories of Arsenal fans.
