I've been saying for two years that we needed another creative player in central positions outside of Ødegaard. Check my posts. Nwaneri will feature in midfield more, but he is still a teenager. I wouldn't want him playing 30 games if Ødegaard were out for an extended period. Eze is definitely a creator. Do you have the stats to say otherwise?

Posted some stats here....

For what? Were you not one of the people complaining about Nwaneri not getting minutes in the middle?

Either way, Eze isn't a creator or tempo setter. It will all be on Zubimendi now.
You need 2 tempo setters in the team at one time lol. Feel like you’re churning out bullshit at this stage. Eze isn’t a creator? lol he might not be a creator in the same way as a classic old school 10 but he certainly creates chances and gets assists on the board due to his technical ceiling + risk taking style.

You just proved my point with the screenshot.
Not sure why hes talking about tempo setting 😂 it’s pretty random. Why would we want Eze to be a tempo setter when Zubi fills that role and so does Ødegaard. If anything we really didn’t need another one because otherwise our passing is a bit too risk averse. Especially from an attacking mid // LW…

He gets assists, makes shot creating actions, and scores goals. Hes an end product style creative midfielder. It’s what we needed. I see him as a mixture of Trossard and Ødegaard.

Isn't that Ethan?
Ethan is a kid. Can’t expect him to fire us to the PL if Ødegaard keeps getting injured or doesn’t recover form. He also doesn’t give elite depth he gives good depth. And lastly, he operates off the right hand side and not the left. While Eze can add something from the LW.

We haven’t really seen any repercussions to missing people like Saka Ødegaard etc this season; and part of that is having someone like Eze to fill in and some burden.

We'll see in time I guess. Luckily, we have a favourable run of games coming up.

The reason I brought up Tempo Setting is Run the Trap said we signed Eze for this reason (Ødegaard being out).... To me, they are very different players.

Ødegaard being a tempo setter isn’t as useful to us anymore since we have Zubimendi.

I don’t know why this is so hard to understand.

Pre Zubimendi it was vital.

I hope Ode recovers soon as he's finally shown some really good form. He does tend to wave his legs and arrive late to 50/50 balls so I'm surprised he's escaped this long. He should be back for the hectic Christmas schedule and hopefully pick up where he left off. 💪

Ødegaard is important to us, I don't know why this is so hard to understand.

Having said that, we should be able to manage without for the next 4 league games.

He’s been out for most of the season so far and we’re top of the table having had the hardest set of opening fixtures.

Are we better with him in the side? Yes. Are we going to fall apart without him like we have done in the past? No. Why? Because we invested in depth instead of spending it all on Isak or whatever the hell you wanted.

Not sure why you've come on here and taken the discussion in a completely different direction.

Ode has been either injured or absolute ****e for last year or so.

Eze and Zuba are more than capable offering what Ode gives us. Probably even more.

And yet you were on here complaining after the draw vs City?

Yeah, do you remember what the complaining was about? Or are you just “trying to take the discussion in a completely different direction?”

I was complaining about the team selection. Not the squad that the team was selected from. Please don’t make me spell out for you how those two things are not the same.

Nah he looked mint the limited time he was on the pitch the last few games.

He’s back. But just not physically back. Like he’s spiritually back or something.
