It's not just the creativity or on the ball brilliance that we miss. It's not just the pressing like a maniac. He's turned into the leader of the football club. He's the example of what we want to be in and out of possession and he takes the identity of the team on his shoulders. Yeah, we can be stingy defensively without him but what we've built on top of that is very dependent on him leading by example and providing the moments of brilliance and it's very clear how much he's missed in more ways than one.

Trossard can't play his role. His passing there is way too inconsistent. But I also don't like Havertz there because he is currently our best 9 by a big distance. Should have given nwaneri like 20 minutes there today imo. This is a problem
Yeh I think the fact he didn’t give him any minutes today is a bit concerning. So far he has preferred to play players out of position, rather than just promote our next best AM into the picture.

Let’s hope he starts in the cup next week then starts getting more minutes.

Maybe

You're wrong, no?
I'm telling you guys, you put him in a team like City and he would be the best midfielder in the world. Games like this show he doesn't have anyone to play with, except Saka when he is on it.

He makes us better than we are in the attack, a bodybuilding team + Ode

Yeah you're right mostly tbh, although I wonder how much of this function over style is imposed by the system and manager rather than the players, I do feel like the players can play.

Pep also does this to his players btw, loads of people moaning about how Grealish is a different player now etc. its just how system managers are.

Trossard absolutely cannot replace Saka’s output and consistency. In fact he doesn’t do that’s a non starter convo.

Just disagree entirely but that’s fine.
He can come in and do a job for a few games. I'm not talking about an equal backup. Apart from an untested Nwaneri we have to change tactic completely to facilitate Odegaards omission.

Hopefully, he'll start against Bolton. If that isn't a suitable game, then I'm not sure what is....

Of course he will start. Its a League One team in the Copacabana Cup. Whenever we dont play against crap like that he will be on the bench at best though.

There is no way Arteta should let that imposter of a manger, Solbakken, get a hold of Ødegaard in this break. Preferably not in the next breaks either, but for some reason Martin seems to want to play for that bozo.

Martin is quite durable when playing for Arsenal, but the Norwegian NT doesn’t protect him enough. I recall there was another NT break where he picked up a heavy knock in the first game, continued the game, and played the second one and got injured. I feel Solbakken is way to comfortable with gambling on his health since he knows he will likely be injury free for the next break. Guess it’s the same with Haaland too, but City are way more cautious with him, sending physios and doctors with our nation team to guard him.

As others have said, say he is unavailable. Let Solbakken rot with a midfield of Berg, Berge and Myhre. He can play the sort of football he dreams about with that. Maybe switch Berg with Thorsby so it doesn’t become to technical!

This is coming from a Norwegian, so it’s not some sort of Anglocentric hatred for smaller nation. Its pure disdain fueled by the incompetence running rampant through our version of the FA.

Arsenal Quotes

When I arrive at the gates of Heaven the Good Lord will ask "What did you do in your life?"
I will respond "I tried to win football matches."
He will say: "Are you certain that's all?"
"Well, that's the story of my life. It is not easy to win football matches, you know."
