Martin Ødegaard: El Capitanø

These guys don’t know ball. Yes he might sometimes go ‘missing’ but what creative player doesn’t?

It’s the opposition team’s responsibility to mark that player out the game but Ødegaard still shows up more than most. Even in his poorer games he’s working hard, pressing, and giving us security on the ball.

When he’s purring he’s top class. He is literally who we are missing right now in the team.

We need to work on relying on him and Saka less (by signing a top LW and maybe a regista next summer), but for now we really need our captain back.

It’s not worth watching arsenal without ode. Boring football on same level as Everton

How do we stop relying on Saka and Ødegaard? Arguably our best attacking players. Its not like we can go and buy replacements of similar calibre and expect them to be happy with squad roles. We just have to hope that these players if they get injured are out only against inferior teams.

I really wanted Eze, we should have got someone of that profile into our squad last summer.

Lovely news, aimed at us as well I’d say.

The sooner our man is back in action… the better

Any team even City lose their top 2 offensive players will look horrible, You just have to try your best and find other ways which to be fair to this team they have done even if it's been an eyesore.

This is why in my opinion a bit of luck is always needed to win a major trophy. Saka and Ødegaard going as long as they did without major injuries was hugely fortunate tbh.

Anybody thinking starts?
Never know but I highly doubt it. Been out for months and just returned to full training a couple days before the game.

Best we can hope for is starting in the Chelsea game. But even that, I feel is somewhat unrealistic.

Maybe if he gets 30mins tonight he can start the Chelsea game and play 60+ at Stamford Bridge. Let’s see.

Certain players like that in every team. We’re already seeing City without Rodri, and we saw last season what Liverpool look like without VVD. It just is what it is and yeah, you need luck with injuries.
