Demonstrated some outstanding pressing, work rate, and an ability to retain possession in tight situations. If he can consistently deliver this, and maybe add a few more G/A to his game, then we've done some excellent business with him.
Some people think he's holds onto the ball for too long, occasionally, this is the case, but most of the time, he does it deliberately to draw in two or three defenders before picking a pass. Perfect example was the Saka goal, he could have passed first time, but instead he delayed, brought two Sp**s players towards him, released the pass and took them out of the game.

He was fantastic
Was one of his worst games in a while yesterday tbh.
In the 1st half alone he lost the ball 5x times deep when receiving it under pressure. Needs to be better in those situations with body feints as a player with his technical quality should not be disposed that easily.

To think this guy is still only 22, such a mature head on his shoulders. Ødegaard, Saka & ESR are key for us, the more they play together, the better they'll become. All technical, all intelligent players, the future looks great!

I'm happy that Ødegaard has finally made a good career decision. The idea to pick Real Madrid, of all clubs, as a young player was a terrible one. You can only wonder where he would have been had he mapped out his career like Haaland. The result of going to Real Madrid, was years of nomad life on loan.

Now, he has stability, and a club with plenty of players in his age group, developing together as a team. I think he is in a much better position now to fulfill his potential. He's a valued member of the team, and with that comes responsibility to perform.

Wanted to mention this too. Early pass to Saka was what most other players would have played. That would have meant that Saka would have to run with the ball for a long and one of the Sp**s defenders might have caught up with him. The fact that he waited took his time and moved to the opposite direction freed up space for Saka to move to.
I thought he made quite a few mistakes on the ball but was really good off the ball yesterday. Caused a lot of issues to Sp**s midfielders. Having Xhaka and Partey helped him move into space in the midfield very well and orchestrate play from there.
The requirements from him is very different to when he plays in a 4 3 3 and he seems to have adjusted well to both the formations.

Yeah this. He needs to be stronger and shield the ball better.

Worst case he should be drawing a foul like Xhaka does, but Ødegaard is good enough technically to stay on his feet and keep our attack going, or spin the player.

One instance in the game i saw when Son pickpocketed him like it was nothing, needs to up his awareness when he is in our end of the pitch receiving the ball. Delicious in the final third, as per

A lot more to come from this lad, to think that game against west ham (his best game in an Arsenal shirt) was him at a 90 in terms of his potential is scary tbh
Definitely that West Ham game, where we were dominating possession that second half and in control, which gets you kind of excited when you think of how he’ll perform as we have more possession and control of games like in the first half yesterday. These players are at their best when they can pop passes off and move without the team losing possession, like our German moany ghost was.

He was key to our victory over Spuds. Especially for the first and third goals. For the first he backs Spuds defenders up until they're disjointed then gives it to Saka where he can punish them. For the third he pops it into Smith Rowe after taking three Spuds players out the game. He sees a picture in his head. He's very similar to Özil in terms of the artistry.

This guy is going to be a creative monster. So pleased we got him in permanently. He has ideal conditions to develop here like @GoonerJeeves says.

Very quiet from him, saw the head going down a couple of times which isn't something I've seen from him before. Hopefully just a one off.
