How could it be a good thing? Its clearly a bad thing
Because if you play mistake free football but don't do anything spectacular, then you may not be noticed which is not necessarily a bad thing. It certainly is better than being noticed doing something that hurts the team.

I didn't notice him at all when he came on and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Hopefully he has a good World Cup and comes back with some confidence.
Tempo setting archetype tend to have that effect in games where we don't have possession. I reckon if he plays with a bit more gusto in possession he could repurpose himself the way Gundogan did at City. I thought he was fine when he came on tbh.

Eh if you are paying attention then you notice mistake free football. If its very casual viewing then I get you

Yeah and to be fair, it's been domestic competition where the warts have shown more than continental competition. He was really good in the first half of the season so I hope that he can regroup and recapture that form. I think we're going to see a new look to our midfield regardless next season, both tactically and in terms of personnel so that may also provide occasion for him to make that sort of tweak to his style.

We spent 60 million thinking we were buying a conductor. 9 months later he can’t start ahead of a kid that played left back for us until a month ago in his position

Both him and Gyokeres has been failure and it would just be stubborn to hang on

That kid is a Pogba level talent and has always been a midfielder. Just that Arteta stubbornly played him as a left back for some unknown reasons.

There is no shame at all in Zubi being a worse player than MLS, the shame is us thinking we have an obligation to make Zubi some kind of success story. We do not have that obligation and Zubi right now is an Elneny/Jorginho. It is up to him to prove he is better than that level.

Gyökeres scored 14 goals in the Premier League and 21 goals (and made 3 assists) overall. We wouldn't have won the league or reached the CL final without him. He has been more successful and more important for us than all of the other signings we made last summer. Yes, i expected more goals from him but he is in a new team with a manager that make strikers regress. He is not a failure.

Lool he’s not close to pogba😂😂😂

Lool he’s not close to pogba😂😂😂

Yes he is? He's playing significant minutes for one of the best teams around at the same age Pogba had just moved to Juventus. I know you reflexively have to **** on anything Arsenal related for some reason but laughing at that comparison is just weird.

Not saying he's on par or better, but he's clearly close at this point in their respective careers.

What exactly is MLS's weakness? Cause it kind of blows my mind to see fans that keep asking us to spend big money on midfielders like Wharton with blatantly more shortcomings than MLS without any obvious upsides and stuff they can do way better.

He can get caught on the ball, so needs to improve his scanning. But nevertheless very exciting to see how he does next season.
