Haven't seen a huge amount of him ( so take my opinions with that in mind) but the times I have I've been fairly impressed.

As others have said he's a slightly inferior version of prime Jorginho. That's a very useful player to have. He's a metronome type.

A-M will start rating him again if he goes to Real Madrid anyway.

Yeah you definitely behind the news cycle bro
No you are again overlooking the cause of the problem, I am not behind on anything. Why was Dortmund able to buy a better striker for 18 million? The reason we don’t have a striker today is Mik’s bizarre over valuation of Kai period end of story

I've seen very little of Zubi but I will say that he stepped into Rodri's role for Spain almost flawlessly in the Euro final, thought he bossed the MF.

He is a great No.6 I don’t know why we need him more than an attacker with players we have. Mik doesn’t know how to build a balanced squad

Who said we are not going to sign attackers to sign Zubi? You should work for CNN man.

Well we haven’t signed one in a while but keep buying holding midfielders and defenders. Are you serious, CNN; they wouldn’t put a man with my integrity and superior actual life experience and expertise on CNN. No way I tow any party line.

I have liked Zubi for a long time. I think he is a good player but again more of holding midfielder. We need a striker. The next player we buy has to be a player that could give us 20 league goals. I can’t see how Mik would keep buying defensive players with how weak we are in forward line. He is really in bizarre way wedded to Kai as the focal point of attack

But if we keep losing defenders and midfielders, then we would need to replace them, and if we go into the summer, and defenders and midfielders are easier to sign than forwards then we will sign them first.

People are too hung up on sequence like as if the market will bend to our priorities. We have to bend to the market, and if the backup GK is easy to do and takes a week, but the forward targets are uhmming and aahing, then wtf are we supposed to do, hold off all business on other positions until we sign a striker? That could be a deal that takes months to materialise while the LB takes two weeks.

The need for a striker isn't loss on the club. It's quite obviously the most difficult position to solve, but having said that, **** the club for not taking Watkins. Signing defenders and midfielders also shouldn't preclude the club from being able to sign an attacker.

I disagree with the entire premise that we can not upgrade in the market and get a much better striker than Kai or Jesus, and easily. Now January is a terrible time to do it and we have a slim chance at League or CL. That argument is fair and I understand. But begs the question that if Watkins could be had for 60 in season in overpriced January season why didn’t we buy him or a comparable striker and sell the two we had for whatever we could get for them? Certainly we would probably even have to carry a portion of salary to get any team to take our dud strikers

He's a lot like Arteta was himself as a player. He reads the game well, decent passer, rarely loses the ball, and anchors midfield. Nothing more exciting than that really.

Watkins got injured the moment the window closed, so selling Havertz would have just left us without a striker. And Jesus won't he going anywhere for a while with an ACL injury.

Even if we sign Zubi, I would still look to keep Partey for at least one more year. He's proven his fitness this year and been integral to some of our best results. Not sure we should risk a Xhaka situation as not replacing him properly was a real setback.

I think the problem with keeping Partey isn't really his on field performances, it's more his on going off field issues.

There doesn't seem to have been any reports of any issues for a few years now

I imagine Zubimendi would struggle with the physicality and schedule so rotating him with Partey would make sense.
