All three of those Barca midfielders could press, create and dribble they were all pretty complete in that system.

Pretty much yeah you need technical midfielders for most top teams unless you plan on bypassing it which Arteta doesn’t.
It’s a damn shame Reijnders extended - he’s properly complete and would have been attainable for us.

Good thing is we gave started moving in the transfers early - can make such a difference to how u start the season.

Yeah our best seasons came when we sorted transfers early. It's clear what we need too so Berta has probably been on it for a while.

Not sure about the balance on the face of things. I think a midfield of Zubimendi, Rice and Ødegaard would flourish in Europe whereby they’re given a lot more space however in the PL where many teams rely on athleticism, driving with the ball and PnP then I’d assume we’ll face a few troubles but I could be completely wrong.

With Zubimendi and Rice you can point to standout attributes whereas with this current version of Ødegaard, I’m not even sure what he excels in hence why he’s on the floor more time than not. I guess we do have MLS to give Rice a breather if need be however a creative option is a must.

For me the problem is Ødegaard, you need someone who's a bit more incisive in what he does. Zubimendi keeps things ticking which takes away the only good Ødegaard does on the ball these days which is recycling possession. Now that the dynamics have changed you want someone with a killer final ball, someone who'll shoot or even just someone who'll pick the ball and run with it, or even run beyond the CF.

Is there anyone in particual we can buy who fits the criteria ? I genuinly have got no clue what are the options in the market.

Not for me. Had an Impressive start to the season but around Christmas time reverted back to his last season form of being a calamity butterfingers allowing too many soft goals that he should of saved. Raya's lack of concentration has shown due amount of games these past 2 seasons that he has failed to save a single shot on target during a game and he concedes.

What I would give to have any of Ramsdale, Leno and Martinez back who are all superior shot stoppers.

Hopefully we sign Joan Garcia as our second signing followed by one of Gyorekes, Sesko or Watkins.
Slating Raya for his “ lack of concentration “ and in the same post begging for Ramsdale to return.
Get in the ****ing bin!

Wonder if the same people not seeing it with Zubimendi are the same people that thought João Neves was too small and lightweight and didn't move the needle much, and if they are the same people that complain when the PSG midfield technically outplays ours?

I've never been a goalscorer. I've only owned goals. Good own goals.
