Mate, let's all laugh at Tottenham!

Some are saying they will batter us and have a better team than us. I've not watched them this season but I think only Madison get a place in our squad right now so I don't know basically
they look fresh and have more freedom offensively they have few nice addition like Udogie who i liked in italy still raw tho and Maddison who is good footballer he add them good creativity but if they really come to emirates leave ton space behind it will end ugly for them because our players are starving to play against teams who play offensive football we played so far 5 teams who sit deep that including manutd. they might score we give goals at emirates nothing new but also we likely going to score 4 at least so im interested how they actually gonna set up

People usually think about strain, and assume having only few games is a great thing so you're totally fresh.

But here look at Tottenham. They had a game 2.9., next one was Sheffield United on 16.9. (where they weren't even that good), and then a week later Arsenal.

It can actually be also an advantage to have more games, to keep your team match sharp, like City last season, if you can manage injuries. Tottenham has in 3 weeks time after 3.9. until 24.9. had only one game before Arsenal.

They can't be the best regarding match sharpness, which can result in mistakes. Especially when you're away against a top 3 team in the league, after barely beating Sheffield United at home a week before.

Last season I saw mistakes coming from Arsenal because there was only a game per week, even if Arteta played his best eleven mostly. One week is a long time, and training is only training.

I would agree with this. Playing matches gives a team and the squad much needed match fitness. Just need a deep enough squad to handle injuries. Think we are closer there now. Too bad we lost Timber for the season, but overall we are fairly deep now in most positions.

Like clockwork

And they think I'm nonewthing too

Spurscommunity people, nobody is saying that Sp**s are a poor team, not at all. What we Arsenal supporters are saying is that we are quietly confident of our chances on Sunday. It will be a more difficult game of course because you no longer have your "world class" manager in Conte anymore, but a manager that has finally made you into a modern team who actually plays top footaball.

What you play isnt new by the way. Sure its Angeball and its really exciting and you never stop. But City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Brighton, Newcastle, Chelsea, even United to a degree all play an attacking version of JDP and also "never stop". The underlying principles are largely the same, and all of our approaches are studied in depth, including yours now.

As I said, we are quietly confident for Sunday. It will be interesting to see the tactical dynamics at play here between the teams. Our players will give your team respect as you are performing well but they will also look to put you under tremendous pressure despite us not being back to our attacking best just yet.

Looking forward to it... See you Sunday ;)

Perisic out for the season with an ACL injury apparently.

Unfortunate that, I like Perisic. The man's a model professional.
Yeah good player. Can't say I like anyone once they play for that club but definitely very professional. Tough to lose a year at this age as well. Hopefully he can come back and go out on his own terms.

SuperMikel

A calm and collected individual.
That was thier best chance to beat us. Martinelli & Trossard out, playing an unconventional forward line. Partey out and Rice playing only 45 mins.

They seem to be revelling in this 2-2 draw though.

If we are fully fit we are doing them at the Lane again, just like last year

Credit to Sp**s, they played really well.

Attacked well using their build up techniques, but also denied space for us to move into, quite well too. Ange showed a defensive side to their game on Sunday that will serve them well this season.

Looking forward to the return leg at their ground. Hopefully we can both field strong teams.

That they did & anyone denying that is deluded by tribalism.

Mind you, Jesus puts that ball he stole off Maddison into the net & the game is a certain 3 points for us.

They player well but they grew into the game. We've let them in. Should have been 3:0 up 30 minutes into the game. Jesus miss and Nketiah trying to score from 0 angle instead of passing to Vieira for a simple tap in. As well as our extreme generosity from the start of this season. Gifted Forest their goal. Gifted Fulham 2 goals, gifted united their goal and the disallowed goal. Gifted Sp**s both their goals. Am I missing something. The positive is that all goals we conceded are not the opponent doing an amazing attack or outplaying us. On top of this we are not clinical enough. Plus the injuries we have and here we are. But we need to fix our mistakes and start scoring the situations we create. Otherwise cannot expect how we will challenge city.

There's nothing resembling a challenge this season. These schoolboy errors will see to that.

We should focus on ending in the top 3 & CL/FA Cup.

Finishing. This is a consistent problem with us, always creating high quality chances but not having the composure and cool to finish them off. I count Jesus, Nketiah, Ødegaard all having extremely high moments in that first half, which should have put the game at 4-0 by half time.

If we want to win the title or any big prize this season (PL or CL) we have to put those big moments away. What Trossard did at Everton is what we should be doing on a regular basis, when teams look to keep it tight all the time.

If we learn to convert our chances consistently, then we will truly come alive.

As for defensive organisation, Im actually more confident we will fix that this season.
