If we played Leicester away and Everton at home to start the season, we would have 6 points and an even better goal difference.

If Sp**s played Wolves at home and Villa away, they would have 1 point and a negative goal difference.

They thinking they can match our unbeaten season again, like they thought last year?

If I were to use the Game of Thrones world as an analogy, Sp**s would be every whorehouse in Lys & Arsenal rowdy sailors bursting with coin.

Top 4 isn't over for them. They really should have won all 3 of their games quite comfortably. They are not converting the chances they are creating; Solanke and an in form Son would help there.

Anf of course, they give away goals too easily. I wish Ange would just back off on that high line a little (I know he won't). It cost them at least 1 point in this game. Newcastle's second goal was caused by Dragusin backing off whilst Romero holding the line (as he would if VVD was there). The system puts defenders under so much pressure, particularly defenders who are not playing regularly.

Their strategy is clear in the way they play. They want to force the game into their favour and by doing so, shake opposition out of their defensive setup and into taking risks. This creates the space to exploit further with their constant attacking play.

Think teams like Leverkussen, older City and title winning Liberpool. So win games by holding the ball and attacking with it consistently.

It’s a good strategy against teams who aren’t as technically sound as you are, and will be forced to defend for long spells. But it’s not as good against teams who have similar to better possession and defensive organisation.

Sp**s will do better against lesser teams in the league for the time being again. Only to come unstuck against the top teams. Until the lesser teams find the holes in their system of course.

It's Sp**s. That's their natural state of being

At some clubs success is accidental. At Arsenal it is compulsory.
