It's a weird one because I and many others have accused these orgs of being too lenient on this stuff whilst doing 6 months+ for chronic betting?
But seeing 100k fine and 7 games ban for a comment I have seen many times in my life is a bit shocking, but it's probably needed due to how accepted casual racism is against asians so I have no complaints.
As long as this punishment is consistent then I'm thinking fair play. What I wonder is would this teach Bentancur a lesson or will it build resentment?

It's becoming very normal reading racists comments everyday in social media it's awful to see but as famous guy you must be extremely stupid saying these stuff so this ban is needed so these players know there is limits

I understand that you can't compare those cases and different jurisdictions but still, Chelsea supposedly opened an internal investigation and there was an official complaint towards FIFA. Months later, nothing happened besides some people claiming Enzo is not racist.

Yeah it does look a bit harsh especially factoring in the Enzo situation.
That said we can only hope people take this as an example and act accordingly as a result. While I'm sure there's no malice behind his words it is a display of casual racism even if it's mostly from ignorance and it's something that needs to be stamped down on. Only problem is tho i can guarantee there'll not be consistent punishments for similar behaviour.

I read something about the issue being with what organisation is responsible for the punishment, otherwise it doesn't make sense really.
For Bentancur the minimum punishment has been set to six games minimum for time, no sympathy there whatsoever.
