That was awesome, wish Arsenal did that someday instead of throwing eternal tantrums about the PGMOL or whatever. But the model we decided to follow is the one that, if this sport gets lucky, is being phased out.

Spot on.

It’s amazing how no one but Ange could do that by the way. Not Arteta, not Klopp, not Wenger, not anyone else but Ange.

What a man!

Ange got the right mix of defence and attack today - maybe not having Micky VDV and Romero was the reason for that. I thought Sp**s players had more grit and fight than they often have under Ange. To me this is their biggest problem currently, they collapse when the opposition applies pressure.

27 goals is the best attack by 4 goals and they have the second highest goal difference of 14, which is only 1 worse than pool. Stats wise they are doing well.

City are the team that seems to get Ange defending deep, and actually playing more like the peak Liverpool team he is aiming to be like.

There is nothing wrong with defending in a block, keeping your lines tight. In addition to your high pressing game.

Perhaps this snaps him out of his idealism. Wanting to attack constantly for 90 minutes like he has the superior team every single game. We’ll see

It's not just Ange, Tottenham is Pep's weak spot for some reasons.
Of all teams he has faced in his career, Tottenham has defeated him most, 9 times.

Exactly Conte, Pocchettino, Mourhino and even Nuno Espírito Santo beat Guardiola with Tottenham recently. I checked and this is the eighth loss to Tottenham in all comps in the last five years.

And all those wins are downright meaningless to where City ended up. The one chance when they could have changed City's fortunes, and they cvcked their way by celebrating a home loss 🤬 which is what this thread's cover shows

Certainly not boring being a Tottenham fan. This season, they either win, or lose. They have drawn the one league game, so far.

Ange has done alright so far, didn't get caught up in the Harry Kane leaving Saga. He saw what he had, and went with that. Great result at City in the weekend, could count for nothing, if they go all Spursy, and say lose at home to an Ipswich. Oh, hang on, they have. 🫢

See that the weather wasn't great before that game, rain. Seems to rain a bit in Manchester.
Going back to the 1994/95 season, I worked with a Manchester City supporter. He got tickets for us to watch Manchester City v Tottenham, at Maine Road. It was raining that day, this was when Jürgen Klinsmann was at Tottenham.

Matchday programme from the game. Couldn't get one on the day, Sold Out.

The match was played in October 1994. Tottenham didn't get the better of Manchester City on this occasion, losing 5 - 2. Ex Arsenal striker, Niall Quinn, scored one of City's goals.

Arsenal Quotes

Arsenal are the most beautiful club in England. At Man City and Chelsea, they will never have that class and style.
