And just like that, another ambitious manager will inevitably leave with **** all after promising to win something.

Conte taking Napoli back to the top of the table tonight would be ultimate schadenfreude.

Conte wasn't wrong about what he said. Sp**s likely need new ownership

Nobody with ambition takes that job. Jose and Conte were both having a midlife crisis. Everyone knows it's 2 years of misery and a severance cheque. Ange will be back at Celtic in a year or 2 when some desperate PL club's @Riou gets a case of Sterling Suarez Sturridge nostalgia and hires Brendan.

The fans already not happy with him.

His downfall is him ignoring the basics of football defense and set piece his team play great football but that not enough mister Wenger was playing top football too in his late years but what the point if you concede so many goals
Defence probably better than last yr; they have the fourth best defence (in term of GA) and second best attack (in terms of GF) but still in 11th place in the table. They are inconsistent, poor at breaking down low blocks and a lot of their players lack bottle when opponents apply pressure.

Also heard so many ex-players say things in podcasts that makes it clear there is definitely a poor culture at the club - relaxed where winning isn't demanded.

I have a feeling we were heading the way of Sp**s as a club too - I think its one thing that Arteta deserves credit for addressing, despite it not providing any dividends as yet

Ange has focused on two things and dialed it up this season.

The first is their out of possession game turns all their players into defenders. They press you everywhere and in doing so create attacking opportunities, and defend their goal at the same time.

The second is their in possession game. They hold the ball more and have added more patience to their game (sometimes forced), to not only protect their goal by starving the opposition of the ball. But also carve out their own chances from their possession.

Transitions are unchanged from last season.

The problem for Ange is that he doesnt adapt his team enough and it can thus still be manipulated. When you look to always press teams wherever they are on the pitch, you can be opened up when the pressing man loses his marker or you give extra attention to certain players (eg Palmer). This allows teams to create spaces to attack inside and through your shape, even for a brief moment.

This is what will undo Ange in the Premier League unfortunately. You cant play in one way all the time and expect to win every game. Not even City do that.

I like Ange... but he is proving to be a bit limited or stubborn, or both. He needs to adapt more or he will get sacked.

They still concede crazy amount and teams already figured them out they leave so much space

League is very weak
The wheels have really come off for Ange. I thought he pulled everything back after City but no.

Slagging off a player in public isn’t a good sign. You rarely see the really top managers do this.

Sp**s have become abit of a drama show this season, just interesting to watch it start to fall apart, again. The anti Levy brigade have started again, the Ange out crowd is vocal etc.

Is it already time for Ange to be dropped after a few months, half a season like Sp**s have done in the past or do they keep Ange for another while, give him a season at least & give him his own window to get who he wants, transfer away who he wants? Problem with Sp**s imo, they've only given their manages less then 2 seasons when they don't get much of a chance. Thats their issue. Their fans are terrible.
