Outside the UK no one's ever really heard of Sp**s until like 10 years ago, you ask football fans on mainland Europe the feeling is they're like a football industry plant. Someone tried to gaslight people into thinking they're a big club but it never caught on.

Anyone here with more than superficial knowledge will tell you Villa Everton or Newcastle are historical clubs even if not successful but with big fanbases. Sp**s are just there, defined by being the smelly second club in North London and a 30% chance of being mugged or stabbed on the way to watch Beyonce doing a concert in their shiny sh*tbowl.

IIRC Sp**s have a bigger North London fanbase than Arsenal. That would put them at least on par with Villa Everton or Newcastle and probably over them. More Euorpean trophies than Arsenal too.

I know I'm raining on the laugh at Sp**s parade, sorry guys

I tried to find data on that, specifically that Tottenham has more supporters in North London, but I couldn’t find anything. However, I believe you, and I somehow recall hearing something similar myself. Do you have any source for that?

It was just something I heard in passing, but the source was an Arsenal fan though. Like us they have a huge membership waiting list for season tickets

Noy buying that. Bigger fanbase in their own borough perhaps, but not by much. Or if it is true, they must all be hugely closeted, because you never see Sp**s shirts out and about, and I've only ever met 1 Sp**s fan from North London

Absolutely zero chance they are on par/above Villa and Everton, Tottenham have the same amount of League Titles as Derby County ffs.

Newcastle/Leeds is their level though.

You're going by title count. Villa aren't a bigger club TODAY because they won 6 titles 110 years ago and another 40 odd years ago.

Everton's new stadium is about 10,000 seats smaller than Sp**s, they aren't a bigger club despite their trophies in the 1980s.

You're also not pretending Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday, Wolves and Huddersfield are big clubs because of their title counts

Recent success is always the most important, it's why Chelski and Citeh are big despite how they have gotten their success and having very little history comparatively...but historical success doesn't just go away because it's old, it's there forever and should always be celebrated.

Sp**s are better now/have been better recently than Villa and especially Everton, Villa are the better team now mind...but how are Sp**s a bigger club lol?

Since the Prem began all three of them have won 1/2 trophies and Sp**s have way less league titles than both, just because they have been doing better than them the last decade (with no success) absolutely doesn't mean they are a bigger team.

Before the oil teams came along, Everton were the 4th biggest team in England...what can Sp**s even say to them.

I am not even saying Sp**s are a small club with my Arsenal glasses on, if you rank all the teams in Europe they are in the third tier which is still very good in context as they do have good history.

But they need to win a lot more trophies for all their "potential" to get realised and for them to become truly bigger than proper historic clubs like Everton and Villa.

They don't, where on earth did you get that? Even Sp**s fans will tell you that's nonsense.

October 2024 was a bad month for us. I feel for the NK Arsenal fans going through that right now 🙈
They dont even know saka is injured or jesus and havertz are gone for the year.

Do they just pretend there is 17 teams in the PL ignoring the existence of Sp**s, wolves and brentford?

Arsenal Quotes

I'm prepared to be committed to the club at least until we go into the new stadium. For me, it’s important that the club goes in there and that I make sure the team are at a very good level. After that, whether it’s me or someone else, the club will be able to compete at the highest level. But for me to run away now would not be fair.
