Tbh Arteta finished 8th twice. Ange finished 5th his first season taking over a team that finished 8th
When you say somethiung like that. you should be more specific.
About Arteta's first 8th place.
Was this full season?
If not, what was Arsenal's position when he took over?
Has he won some trophy this first season or first half sesaon?

If you want to compare their starts.

Arteta second season was full season and he finished 8th. Arteta is doing well now. But let’s not rewrite history as he was struggling early on. Obviously Ange is far more experienced manager when he took over compared to Arteta who never managed before.

The club decided to stay with him and be patient. But if he was sacked summer 2021 no one would blame the club.

This is complete story,
And nobody (including me) wouldn't say a word if he was sacked in summer 2021.

I'm going to go in two footed on Micky VdV - this guy is overrated as ****. He has some highlight reel defending clips because he's absolutely rapid and can defend big spaces but in small spaces he's atrocious. The amount of times he just hoofs the ball away for a throw in or corner after getting pressed is crazy. He's a liability on the ball.

Dutch media and commentators begging for his **** because he’s “footballs Rico Verhoeven”. Yes he’s physically impressive and the ideal last man or sweeper. But like you say he lacks a lot of technique and football intelligence.

Ange and Sp**s were pretty done after the whole City game debacle. He doesn't want to be there any more and the Sp**s fanbase have slowly start to turn on him since that day. I'll be amazed if he's still there at the end of the season.
Yep, you don’t make comments like that and somehow go back to calm waters and things go back up on the up. He’s been finished there since that day.

Same with Tuchel with his pre season comments, the sacking was inevitable. Was always so confused when people were shocked he got sacked at Chelsea.

Arteta spent about 86 million Euros his first summer window. Ange was handed 272 million Euros in his first summer window. He f*cking should have gone up a few spots with that level of expenditure, shouldn't he? If you combine Arteta's first 2 summer windows, you're still at less than Ange spent in his first one. After over 400 million Euros spent, Ange has them on basically the same points pace over the last 32 matches as Everton. He's a disgrace of a manager. That's disgusting stuff.

I watched the NLD up until the goal, and will continue on tomorrow.

Tight game, with fine margins in the end, but I expected better from Sp**s based on what I was reading on the socials. It sounded like Sp**s were absolutely battering us and we held on for long periods.

Far, far from it. Outside of some misplaced passes from us and us getting caught out here and their with our short buildup, we had them absolutely clueless in possession and resorting to shots from range to force matters. We forced them wide because they couldnt combine centrally, and their wide players Son and Johnson are quite useless in 1v1 situations.

As expected I saw again why I dont rate Van Der Ven, and am quite upset with myself in thinking he was a great player. Dude is just a ****ing sprinter and that is his great value to Sp**s. You press him and Vicario aggressively and you are almost certain to get a turnover ball high up. They can move the ball well when under massive pressure.

If we have our best team available for the Emirates game, I want us to press the living hell out of them for the first 20 minutes. Sp**s' do not have enough quality to consistently play out if pressured by a top quality pressing team.

For me they have the 7th/8th best squad maybe 9th if you think Brighton are better. Proper mid table stuff these days for them.

The way they play actually reminds me of the early 2010s Wenger teams. Very free flowing super attacking football but the defending is left to heroics from VDV and Romero. They'd struggle so badly if they didn't have two top class CBs.

It reminds me of Arsenal back then because your defensive stability felt like it stood and fell with Kos and Per playing out of their minds. Kos especially often had to cover insane amounts of ground and make last ditch interventions, not unlike VDV.

Have to admit it's very fun to watch and a breath of fresh air in today's game, but you have to wonder how sustainable it is, especially if you want to compete in Cups etc.

Is this a wind up? You can’t believe this nonsense

I noticed the same, I remember we did 1 very lame pressing not even very quick and he gave the ball away kicking it out. Guy seems really mid with the ball.

He has so many dumb ideas about so many things i lost track. Those teams won like 4 FA cups in quick succession. Sp.rs fans would literally name their children Ange and cry themselves to sleep if they won the FA cup.

I'm literally comparing them to the meme Arsenal teams of 10/11/12 that won sweet **** all but played entertaining football. The team that bottled the League Cup to ****ing Birmingham.

Your reading comprehension is well-documented as being absolutely ****ing atrocious so I suppose I shouldn't have expected you to understand what I was saying.

Their fans celebrating losing because it hurt us was just pathetic. They still had chance to potentially get into Cl. Villa didn’t play great second half. After that and after going through a couple of transfer windows with Levy running transfers convinced him it’s a small time club without ambition. Their own fans know it; Ange figured it out to. No reason that with money they make they should have one league cup under Levy. They just are not on the field ambition. Their ambition is business

They don’t play the same football tactics. I already proved every statement of yours by quotes. So get over yourself with reading comprehension. We were not a high line team. Mid block. Pressing wasn’t our thing. Nor was hoofing crosses from wide positions over and over again with no invention.

As we know you can’t logical reason your way out of wet paper bag. And at best you analyze things superficially. So yes if possession is only criteria then similar statistically
