If his career slides into journeyman obscurity then it will be tumbleweeds.

Basing this assertion on the Özil thread where we had a year or so of people telling us that he was bigger than the club and would shine in any other team.

Wish him the best.

He made a huge mistake with his spoilt outburst at Brighton a few years ago, but he’s a young player and everyone at that age is bound to say something stupid which they regret massively later. It’s a shame because he has talent and under another manager, I’m sure he would still maybe have been with us.

Hopefully he gets regular game time at Marseille as there is definitely a player in there.
