Maty Ryan Joins Arsenal

I'm happy for him with the win and clean sheet. He was calm, distributed the ball well bit most importantly, he came for the ball and caught it at its highest point a couple of times. He did have a couple of times where he misjudged the flight of the ball but he realised quickly and nothing happened. I didn't feel jittery with him between the sticks.

He’s shown nothing other than he has two arms and two legs. Trying to analyse how good he is or to make a case for him staying with in goal given the sample is just painful and tedious 😂

What else are you supposed to do when your other keeper keeps thinking about his PlayStation back home mid game?

Pardon my ignorance, how come Matt Macey left? I know he went to Hibernian, thought he might have been the long term No 2 goalkeeper.

The '' I look forward to continuing the relationship well into the future, Excited for what the future will bring'' part makes it sound nailed on we've given him a commitment that we'll sign him this summer.

Is he saying that he will stay?
I think he has done well in the limited time he has had. He is better the then runnerson, has pl experience and maybe because he is a arsenal fan does not mind being backup not to say he will not try and win a spot number 1.

Think this makes sense signing him.

The Ajax keeper, that's banned until January...think we could probably get a good price for him, very Arsenal thing to do when you think about it.

Sell Leno and bring Ryan in to start until then, as he's a solid keeper...good business that.

Matty Ryan is only rather young for a keeper, it sounds like he was very happy to be here aswell reading his post, Areta seemed rather keen on him & pretty happy with him, I hope we are willing to sign him on a permanent deal, I'd presume he'd be willing to come here even just as a 2nd choice keeper. Even reading that makes me wonder whether there already is a deal in place that we don't know about yet, he has mentioned continuing & going into the future.

You could easily take that statement as a leaving one. Can’t have three keepers taking up three non hg spots though, poor planning from Edu.

Mat Ryan is the smart pickup for the back up spot. Runnarson was a mental hire, one game to show how terrible he was
