Think alot of people are just burnt out with us trying to be too clever in central midfield combinations. Especially when we now have the likes of Özil & Micky infront. Top clubs rarely play with a 10 or a deep playmaker let alone both.

I would happily take Doucoure & a defensive minded partner this summer. The likes of Arteta & Santi were geniuses but Wenger trying find the next one is killing us.

The problem ATM with our midfield is that our midfielders are not good enough..... they don't pass the ball well enough, are not intelligent enough, don't position themselves well enough, don't release the ball quick enough...... that is why time and again our opponents press them, win the ball easily off them and they have no answer. What's the use of "the likes of Özil & Micky infront" when we struggle to get the ball to them consistently and quickly? The idea that some Coquelin MKII will solve our midfield problems is a wrong one, that midfielder is not going to do a better job than Coquelin did. Without a full revamp of our midfield lineup our team is getting nowhere.

I think our lack of system is a big problem. Unless everyone in midfield think the same way for some reason it's hard to connect, without a system of how we play it's harder to link up unless we have one of those games were the players connect. When we have a off day or lower form we don't really have a system to fall back to to get things running. It's a huge problem in my opinion and one of the reasons we need to change our manager.

Fabinho, danilo pereira, Ndidi are who we should be looking at. Meyer would never be able to play dm for us. Sign him in addition to the three I mentioned not instead of.

oh, that would be ideal. even ideal-er would be to flog elneny, possibly xhaka and get two cms that you suggest. still might be short depending on jack and ramsey (fitness, contract).
AMN not ready.

"Arsenal have been assessing Schalke’s Max Meyer, who is also out of contract this summer and at the age of 22 might be regarded as a better long-term use of significant resources."

Schalke DoF Heidel has said today that after talks have broken down a week or two ago, Meyer isn't interested in any talks with Schalke at all and that the player is set on leaving this summer

Would you say he's good enough for Arsenal?

This should be a complimentary signing, someone to replace Wilshere and Cazorla. If they don’t sign a proper DM this summer they can all **** off with Wenger.

Ramsey - Xhaka - Meyer midfield? Hmm. Suppose we'd keep and pass the ball better, but still doesn't look elite.

As a versatile addition to the squad/replacement for Cazorla and maybe Wilshere: definitely yes.
As this summer's prime high quality central midfield signing: No.

He's only 22, he will certainly develop in the coming seasons, the raw talent is there to get to the level of say Draxler.

Would surely add some quality to the team in terms of squad depth and competition.

Anyway, it would be stupid to pass up on him seeing as we might lose all or a some combination of Wilshere, Ramsey, Cazorla and Elneny (not to mention Coq we left already). Xhaka the public enemy, who everyone wants gone.

We should be speaking of several additions in CM, and creating a balanced set of midfielders who are not permacrocked and who don't fold under slightest pressing.

Height and stature shouldn't be an issue at all. We've seen the likes of Silva, modric, kante, cazrola all excel in the league.

Great opportunistic buy. Like his tenacity too!

Its seem we going to do another Kolasinac signing. Any midfield signing is welcome specially if Wilshere is gone

Wouldn't mind getting thus guy if it means freeing up more funds for a CB and RW.
It seem we going to do this if we have just 70M to spend and want to keep Ramsey and Hector and buying defender winger and GK
