He will, however, go down in history as the man who signed George Weah's alleged cousin

Doesnt want to hear any excuses.
Proceeds to make up excuses.

But he is right though. We should smack these lil *****es. Liverpool should be worse now Flopp is gone and we need to show them.
He's had similar comments about us when we played the NLD this season when Ødegaard was injured.
I think his prediction was that we'll win the league this season so he's been extra harsh on us.

..but it's also a great excuse for him to bash us more than usual

What a biased toxic little rodent he is. ****ing idiot.

Who’s making excuses? Is he talking to the fans? Arteta literally never makes excuses, he should look at his own clubs manager but he keeps defending him for some weird ****ing reason.

“Every club has injuries, every club has players missing” - such lazy blanket punditry. There’s nuance here. If Liverpool are missing Salah, TAA, VVD… or even financial doping City missing Haaland, Rodri, KDB… it’s gonna deeply damage their side.

If we were playing Liverpool and they were missing those 3 players I would have extremely high expectations of my team to beat them, I would see it as a big opportunity and would be disappointed if Arsenal didn’t take advantage.

Most fans are the same. So his point doesn’t stand. You can call it a different word to ‘excuses’ (he’s almost being clever with term because the optics of it looks like we are being victims), but missing literally your best 3 players changes things.

Yeah the idea that a side missing their 3 best players should expect to win vs another top side is pure Sky narrative. Any team, and this includes City would be severely weakened with the loss of their best 3 players. It's not an "excuse" it's context.
I am not even watching English TV but I notice the difference of headlines between us and other teams like Liverpool, United & City when they lose point cause of injury

I don’t look at the passport of people; I look at their quality and their attitude.
