Was super confident that we would win a trophy and get Top 4 this season, after Sp**s was postponed...Arteta and Edu have ruined that good fortune, by not pushing on since then...now I feel there is a chance we might not even get Conference League.
Might not mind us having a poor second half of the season and finish 8th again though, chance we end up with Potter if that happens...feel a little drained now, need something to spark Arsenal into life.

Why would anyone want this? We’re in a good position currently, it’s not like we’re sitting 10th or something.
The season isn’t over to be thinking like this. We still have a very good chance of finishing in the top 4.
I rather not play the conference league, tbh. Most of our recent gale end batch are all going or gone, so I see no reason to be in that competition.
Might as well just loan them out.

I think the problem at Arsenal is bigger than just the manager coming in, getting a few of his players and he should go up the table.
I want to praise Arteta and Edu for getting rid of a lot of the trash but there is also a lot that still needs to be done. Laca, Auba, Cedric, Leno, Elneny, Xhaka, Pepe are all still here.
Now we can all wish new managers and doe to come in but they will have the same problem and will need the same time to try to fix this huge issue and change the culture at the club.

The players you listed have either been extended or kept on by Arteta, or signed just before Arteta arrived.
What do you mean by the last paragraph? Change the culture? You think the new manager will need time to change the Arteta culture? Or are you talking about a previous culture? Which I thought Arteta had changed given it’s totally a new side, and his side, he’s got now.

They do suck but they also wouldn't have left us 1 year ago. Something has happened which is making the rats flee the ship, and we should start being concern about it. Cause the next thing to happen will be the players like ESR who do not suck wanting out.

Has nothing to do with liking him or disliking him. It's clearly obvious that he's not getting fired at the end of this season and he's going to be given time no matter how exhausting reading this thread becomes.
Finishing top 4 is not a benchmark for this club right now with such a young team. No matter how much moaning goes on here, he will still be here.
This I agree with. However I wanted to know what those who rate him actually see in him.
I think he has clear ideas about what he wants. That’s the biggest compliment I can give him.
Whether those ideas translate on to the pitch or whether they are good ideas are another discussion.
Still it would be interesting to see what others see in the manager that I have failed to see.

If we could have really pushed to bring in a new CM before the second leg v Pool, we could have been in a fantastic position...plus all our away games still worry me, need Arsenal to give me some hope again...a win over an inform Wolves would show me we might be over our away form issues, that we have consistently had since about 2016.

Let me start by saying, you still going to have many more ups and downs as the season progresses. That's the emotional rollercoaster of not winning a game against Burnley to narrowly losing out to City in the dying moments of the game, to disposing of West Ham like they were bottom of the barrel stuff. One week you will see talk of chasing down Chelsea, and the very next week you will see talk of finishing below 8th. Just because of two results with the very same team.
I see it differently, after the emotion of the transfer window dies down, will we have the same side that has sat around 4th for a large part of the first half of the season. Add to that the continued inconsistencies of our rivals, and ourselves mind you, it makes for a tight but still very much good chance to finish 4th this year.
My belief comes from me being convinced by the work Arteta is doing behind the scenes. I see enough to suggest we are moving in the right direction and will be competitive, January additions or not.
