Rotate who? We were missing 5 first team players in key positions.
Thats down to squad building and having injury prone players. Also the hamstring injuries are probably due to players being overplayed. It all goes back to same thing. We cant carry Tomi, Zinny, Jesus and Potentially Cali anymore. The squad needs sorting out, i hope Big Berta can do it.

Last night we were missing Gabriel and Partey-massive players for us. I could add Calafiori and Havertz but tbh, other players have come in and done their jobs better so they are now virtually backup albeit rotation options would be nice. Can't play Havertz at L8 as Rice is better and the gap between him and Merino at CF is down to pace atm. GJ and Zinny were done last season and Tomi may never be seen again

Jorginho and Jesus would have come in for Partey and Trossard, allowing us to maintain our midfield shape with Rice at 8, as well as giving us an option off the bench for the last 20 in Trossard. I’d bet we would have got back into that game if we had those options.

We all agree the summer window was bad, but it’s the injuries (which can be down to lack of rotation) and stupid suspensions killing us more than anything.

The back up options playing very well is down to Mikel’s coaching and can’t be used here as a way of saying we’re not missing important players ffs. Come on

Don’t think you can really judge Arteta until he has a season where his first 11 is fit every game

I see where you’re going with this, but fact is the two teams (potentially) we’re coming up short against this season in Liverpool and PSG have had their best players fit. In Liverpool’s case basically all season

We came up short against Newcastle and Man United as well. No matter how you twist it we never had the attacking talent and firepower to seriously compete this season. I’m not gonna lie to myself and say if Havertz was around things would be different when he single handily eliminated us from both cups

I hear you but Jorgi's legs have gone and his brain can't compensate for that. MLS is the best Partey replacement we have atm. GJ for Trossard I get but GJ has been injured so often that he's barely an option- a bit like Tierney who can't be trusted to play 30 minutes. We have a whole load of players that are unsuitable and barely sub worthy

Okay. I'll give you Kai but he's not head and shoulders better than Merino at CF tbh. We are missing important players but we started 9/11 of what is now are strongest team. 8/11 at worst. Credit to Arteta's coaching for the backups playing well but I aways rated Timber better than White and MLS was always a baller and a blessing.

I thought he got the team selection wrong last night so he should be criticized. I still want him here for the long haul.

The more i think about how primitive we played against PSG the more angry i become. The way we relied on set pieces, muscles and duels and lacked technical quality was shocking. We played like Stoke and that's not even a joke.
Who could have expected such reasonable post from you.
Arsenal really looked primitive compared to PSG yesterday.

I think it's a shame we have had to resort to playing Havertz at CF. Take each striker playing for a top 3 club in the three biggest leagues, is Havertz the worse?

Our squad building needs some serious examination.

One Attacking midfielder.

No signings on the left wing in how many years?

Who thought Sterling would be a good back up? Our back ups in general are awful. Arteta needs to stop rummaging around City and Chelsea's bins for their cast offs.

A lot of full backs, yet we had to play an 18 year old there for half a season more. What does it say that Arteta doesnt trust Zinchenko or Tierney? We got really lucky with the rise of MLS and Nwaneri, otherwise this season would have been a lot worse.

Arsenal Quotes

When we won the title on May 3-rd by beating Everton 4-0 as Tony Adams scored that iconic goal, we showed everyone and especially Manchester United that we could beat them. Thirteen days later, when we beat Newcastle 2-0 in the FA Cup final in the legendary Wembley Stadium, it was wonderful... I felt immensely proud for the team, for the club: this was the fantastic response I was able to give to those who had put their confidence in me, as well as those who had put me through all those difficult weeks when I first arrived.
