Mikel Arteta: 67

shoot for the top

Can't get over how much I hate him as manager now, feel he has low-key ruined the club in the 2020s... everything about Arsenal right now just feels wrong and embarrassing, ngl.

Feel he's a worse coach than Lampard, and not just the real one but even the fat meme one Yousif made...feel next season is gonna be a whole lot of nothing again with all our current transfer rumours just depressing me even more, just want him fired.
For me, he seems to have hit his ceiling. He’s like Simeone, but without the trophies and the winning personality. He’s just so weird. Pick pocketing players? Lightbulb team talk? Club dog called “win” and yet to win anything since. Sounds like someone who has ran out of ideas.

Excellent analysis of Arteta's Arsenal career and remarks well the overthinking and over control of his tactics.

Didn't learn anything I didn't already know and it was a long way of saying that Arteta micromanages the movements of every player to the point of killing their creative instincts.

It's a very mechanical and predictable way of going forward that has made the likes of Martinelli and Ødegaard feel like they regressed.

Exactly, he is over managing and making everything so predictable and rigid. Clearly is not working.

@OnlyOneTrophy @Trilly hi both, got a two week ban from the transfer forum. Please can you post that I will be back on the 23rd of June to discuss matters further.

It's all in the hands of my lawyers now.

This must be the first ever sub-forum ban I’ve ever seen.

You’re in the history books lad. 😂👏🏾

I just think it's sad given the amount of news and links I post daily.

My volume is high compared to others, so my leeway is high. But a 2 week ban for posting a kiko Suarez tweet....

I'm still in complete shock.

He's our Brendan Rodgers, 2003 Ranieri or Mourinho at Real Madrid.

He's got us to a certain level but I think someone else is required to take us to the top.

We were in great trajectory till last summer when the higher management failed him.

They need to invest in the team to get him over the line. The €800M was moving from Mustafi to competing.

How many points did the Premier League teams collect against teams of different regions of the final table?

We have won 1 point more than Liverpool against teams from positions 1 to 7.

Difference between us and Liverpool are teams finishing from positions 8 to 13, mid table teams.
They have 8 points more than us against these teams.
This is basically where we have lost points and title.

Out Achilles' heel are mid table teams.
We already know it, this is just confirmation.

Big season for him. Needs to allow more fluidity within the team. Saka Ødegaard passing to each other back and forth on the right isn't going to cut it anymore.

Ødegaard needs more freedom across the attacking half, swapping with Rice at times and likewise with our wingers.

It's all got a bit stale because of Artetas rigidity and toppling into being over coached

What he's done to this team is amazing, remember how we used to defend? But he needs to ease off a bit now, the fundamentals are ingrained, time to allow some riffing on the rules

Arsenal Quotes

I still have an interest in training and development, in the stages that make it possible for players first to acquire technique (between 7 and 12) and then to develop physically (between 12 and 16), then to deepen their mental resilience (between 17 and 19) and finally between 19 and 22 to acquire what is critical, like the roof of a house without which all the rest rots away: intelligence and motivation
