You’re sort of correct and incorrect. Clubs do spend a lot on transfers and fail. But also, Liverpool are winning because of successful transfers, Salah, VVD, Alisson. City won because of good transfers, KdB, Aguero, Rodri, Haaland etc.

Obviously some focus too much on transfers, but at the end of the day good recruitment is the key to winning trophies.
That’s what I mean though players today just aren’t that good but cost a lot. City are struggling to find a KDB replacement hell they even brought Gundogan back.

Big players win you cup competitions. This is why we haven't done well since Auba in cup comps. This is also why we are better in the league and why we haven't got a chance at winning the CL.

I HATE the way he has built our team and the signings he has prioritized, will be hard to ever forgive really.

I bet you ****ing hated last season in the league didn't you mate? I bet you hate being in a title race every year based on the managers transfer dealings.

Do people think about what they ****ing say after a loss?

Last season was my most painful experience bar he 2006 Champions League final, why would I have enjoyed it lol...we didn't win anything.

At some point you have to win, otherwise what's the point in all the pain?

Okay let's go back in time so we don't even challenge for anything ever year then.

Why?

Do you understand how important it is to be strong defensively?

By all means have a go about our weak attack. But also understand how important it is to be strong at the back. You win nothing substantial without your back line in place.

Done a phenomenal job bringing Arsenal back from the dead and clearly a very good manager but time is ticking on finding out if he’s a manager that can also take a team that’s nearly there and get them over the line. Not many managers are successful at both

3 games against Newcastle 0 goals. 30 corners. Howe basically telling him you can’t do sh1t without corners

Corners don’t work against Newcastle. Height and strength are their main attributes.

Arsenal did not punish Newcastle in the way they are easily punished. Quick one touch football where they can’t recover defensively.

When Arsenal don’t do that, they won’t win. As soon as they do… they batter Newcastle.

Neville summed it up. Arsenal are better team. Newcastle has better attackers

We wouldn't need corners if Havertz could finish. There were chances. Havertz and Ødegaard missing sitters is not the result of something tactical from Eddie Howe. He would deserve some credit if this team had no clear cut chances over 2 legs. That wasn't the case, they just didn't finish as they often don't finish. Havertz in particular handed him the luxury of a low block with his horror show in the first leg and then today he and Ødegaard again missed chances they should convert. It's not much more complicated than that.

Yup pretty much.

You can’t play a slow possession game with subpar attackers, who cannot convert tight chances. That’s a recipe for disaster.

This was a warning shot to Arteta. Teams have seen this and will look to copy it in the league and CL.

Speed in attack matters, especially when your attack is 5/10.

People are emotional over this loss mate that's why. Don't worry next week we win and they're back  All I hope for is this trash fanbase don't attack our players on social media

Arteta and his captain have the loser gene it seems unfortunately. 4-0 to Newcastle in your first cup semi final in years uno.

0/18 trophies since 2020, soon to be 0/20.

Exactly speed kills in every sport. But I hope more suffering in attack means Arteta will spend vast majority of his funds on attack. I still don’t think he will. So more suffering is needed now until end of the season
