That's, like, your opinion, man.

Doesn't help that all our LBs and CFs either have injury concerns (Zinchenko, Jesus, Tomi, Cala) or become injury prone as soon as they sign for us.

They all probably really fancy the guys and girls in the medical/physio department, only non-supernatural explanation I can come up with.

Think I'd add Saka to that roster of overplayed players, though his problems are a mix of (imo) having to do too much on both ends of the pitch and the fact that he's hardly had a real rest ever since becoming a mainstay.

Played a lot of football between club and country, made it to the finals, which makes him not have as much as a layoff and missing parts of pre-season.

Again, at least now there's Noni there to lighten the load, and he has been used accordingly, but part of the damage was done, so to speak.
Saka has played 1320 minutes in 19 matches in all competitions this season, 77% of time.
I would say reasonable minutes for nominally the best player and mainstay.

6/6 with 5 clean sheets and 1 goal conceded is crazy. Could have done better with rotation though. Better rest Zubi completely vs Wolves.

Overall a good team performance today but not subbing Zubi was criminal. Since Ødegaard wants to do Zubi's job, let him do it.

Yeah but imo likely they view Zubi fitness level is elite this guy since socidad days he play all the games but its risk I don't like Arsenal level is higher he'll basically need to spend more energy than at Socidad

A fitness level is elite until it's not. Havertz was an iron man until we ran him into the ground and now look at him. Same with Gabriel coming back from injury and then being played irresponsibly by Brazil. I'll be sick if we repeat that with Zubi or Rice.

Yeah Rodri too one serious injury and since then cant stay fit.

We'll have to rest him in one of two games these coming weeks

Havertz was quite injury prone before joining us no?

But yeah should have been rotated more.

He had missed 28 games through injury in his entire career before the big injury last season. He's now missed 45 since then. So you're talking nearly double the number of games missed in 10 months as he had missed in the previous 6 years and I've just noticed that 10 of those 28 games he had missed were not even injury related but coronavirus related so you're really talking 18 games vs 45 and counting.

Anyone subscribe to the Athletic? Not sure if they caveat our sub timing data with the fact that we've been forced to many many early subs due to injuries which are heavily skewing the data.

I'm not subscribed because I would never give the NYT my money but I'm pretty sure they don't account for the extenuating circumstances surrounding those subs.

That's a pretty poor oversight if true - we've had so many injured players coming off in like the first 20-30 minutes that it wildly skews the data for this season.

Since Mikel Arteta joined Arsenal:

What has changed?

Sporting directors have been replaced

Almost 30 players have been signed, and a similar number have left

Medical staff and doctors have been replaced

Even U.S. politics changed — Trump lost the 45th presidency and later returned as the 47th

What has remained constant?

Arsenal winning no trophies

Crazy coincidence you hardly post for a month, we lose a game of football, and here you are. Who would've thought?
