He took White off and replaced him with Tomi against Grealish at half time. Not really a tactical change though.
No he has to have a plan B for this we had similar problem against Leeds. We won by one great strike from Saka 1-0. And frankly we stole that match, their midfield kicked our ass. I would like Xhaka or Ode to make some runs through the middle or switch play more quickly, have the wingers push up and wider on the pitch to make it more difficult to get two guys out there. Do something different

That game was crying out for someone like Bernardo Silva who is shifty and can dribble to do something on their own. Also we didn’t have any time on the ball and Xhaka isn’t agile enough to get the ball make a move quickly and get rid. Slowed down our attack. When teams don’t play with as much energy it’s not as noticeable.

Have we been 2-0 down and come back to turn the match under Arteta? Struggling to think of any games that we have.

Definitely get the feeling he is so wedded to his system, he’s unable to think outside the box a bit when teams have figured it out. We are still a work in progress so that will come with time

If you watch back the Everton game, you will see we got the ball into space quite a number of times. The spaces between their lines were tight for the entire match, not just when they took the lead.

We were able to execute our space creating routines, and get into transitional situations in this match too. Nketiah, Saka, Ødegaard, Zinchenko (surprisingly), Martinelli all found themselves in and around the box with an opportunity to take a shot at goal. TP5 also found himself in space for his shot which the keeper could deal with.

So the opportunities to create spaces were there, despite the excellent tactics and physical approach of Everton. That tells you that despite Dyche's winning managerial performance on Saturday, it is still not able to completely close us down in attack

I do agree though that we need to implement more variety to our game, specifically our attack. Our build up and press resistance is as strong as it is due to the multiple ways we do it. We need that in our attacking movements as well. An approach that goes beyond our current ability to create overloads everywhere, because that just forces the team back into the "Dyche V".

Get some variation into our attack soon enough, and we will win this league easier.
