Let me get this right after the HoA tweet.



Arteta seems to be pissed off at the board for them not getting him the players he wanted.

Nwaneri is about to go to a loan, MLS almost got sold since he froze him out for almost a year, Eze's mistake cost him the spot in the team even though Ødegaard could not do ****, and we paid 60m for Madueke who was Arteta's wish. I'm not going into Tonali stuff because he wanted him here too apparently. And ****ing hell he even blocked Guimaraes before he went to Toons ffs.

I don't want to sound like an asshole, because he won his first EPL last year, and got us to the UCL finals - but he really is a bit lucky isn't he?

The MLS and Nwaneri treatment last year almost got them both sold, he keeps digging into Eze (not his wish as well, Eze offered himself to us) for one of his mistakes (Villa away last year), for what ****ing reason?

If we had it in his way we would be having Vlahovic, Sesko, Nunez even here and still be coping about more players needed to win something.



I think Mikel should be grateful for having such ****ing support after all these years, and literally getting something Wenger, even UNAI never had.

No one would know but who knows, maybe there is a deal behind the scenes between the board (KSE, Berta/Arteta that one of them don't know about, getting a new manager or Berta replacement) to start looking at up front now. I can never see us getting rid of Stan for a long time unfortunately.

I was gonna do fake sympathy for Mikel and beg it a bit, because I wanted to say he was let down by Berta and the board - but you know what a lot of left wingers got signed this summer.

Not every single one is going to flop. It needs to be said he’s just too picky.

I don’t see how this is blamed on Arteta. The manager surely doesn’t sit down and work out the financial details involved with signing a player. I don’t believe he didn’t want the players his no 1 target was Rogers but he doesn’t sign the cheques.

KSE and Berta have their share to take but this man's job is to sell players on his project. He's the face of the club in many ways and we've seen him chase after attackers he can't get to join in multiple windows now while attainable targets go elsewhere.

He can take deserved credit for the many things he does well tactically and how appealing he is to CBs and 8s and 6s but he can also be criticized for his part in a total failure to take this club forward in terms of personnel and potency in possession via a complete failure in recruiting anyone above midfield.

There were LWs he should have been able to land after Vini extended and he didn't seem to care about any of them while he was flirting with a petulant, fragile Argie who told him he didn't want to come and who violates most of what Arteta claims are the non negotiables.

We'll probably still win the league though it won't be the stroll it should be and it could be derailed by any significant injuries but the CL at present looks impossible and that's unconscionable after narrowly losing the final and promising level raisers in attack to go one better.

I think he will be happy enough with what we have done and the players we tried to sign. The ambition is there and so are the resources he won’t be getting this type of deal anywhere else. He could leave Arsenal for PSG/Madrid/Barca and be sacked in a couple of years or even months if he doesn’t deliver. This is the best gig for him and he knows it.

He's been lucky? I would say the complete opposite. He's had one of the worst attacking pools I've ever seen at Arsenal and has still managed to make us consistent performers at the highest end in this spot for 4 seasons in a row now?

Only reason we are here is because of Arteta.

Probably because the weak attack was the reason we didn't win it last season and it hasn't been improved upon. The manager himself said that we needed to acquire players who could make the difference in their final actions to get over that hurdle and then didn't sign those players. It's really not difficult to understand. We don't know what state Saliba will return in when he returns and he is absolutely key to being able to 1-0 your way to results the way this manager seems to be obsessed with doing. There are now more question marks than there were last season.
