This is the best chance to win the league, 26 games in we are 4 points ahead, we romped the CL league phase and battered the best teams in europe. we are in the CC final and through to the 5th round of the FA Cup. We have the best defence in the league and the second best attack. The current stats dont lie.

What makes this more weird is the above is being achieved with attacking players who are not world class, they are all decent squad players and that is it. There are zero moments players. Arsenal are a team purely built on a system and at this point of time, it is working, however will it get us over the line? imo we have to win the CC, i think that will be the catalyst to move forward, if we dont i think we will collapse and lose the league and other comps.

if tets wins nothing this year its time for a change.

What’s interesting about us is that even though we play very rigid attacking football, we have very fluid players.

People like Trossard, Saka and Eze would definitely suit a more fluid system.

I think someone posted a game where Saka played at AM for us vs Sheffield, we were in a period of turgid football at the time and produced that.

This was only Wigan don’t get me wrong, but surely if we have such a strong base (and moving a bit towards a double pivot with Rice and Zubi in front of the back 4), it allows us to give the attackers more license to interchange? I think Saka would be at the heart of that through the middle.

I think then unpredictability would unlock Gyokeres and even Martinelli more when he plays because all the movement and football in the half spaces would open up gaps to or opportunity to run in behind.

Rice Zubi
Madueke Saka Trossard

Trialled vs Wolves (with Rice on his strong side). I think it could potentially be transformational.

This started because I said Wenger’s last 10 years of beautiful football didn’t win the league. And it appears that upset you and led to you defending the FA cup victories. You are not looking at reality if you think 99% of fans and the players wouldn’t trade those 3 FA cups for a champions league title. I’m not insulting Wenger, I’m just looking at reality.

I don’t think I’m dreaming or mooning to think that the club is capable of winning those top titles and should be targeting that. And I was simply answering another poster’s pointed question, if I had to choose, beautiful football vs winning PL/CL…. At this point in clubs history, I’m choosing titles without a doubt.

This team is not getting over the line. Our manager is dragging them down, the football will only get worse and worse, more negative the closer we get to the end of the season. His anxiety gets into the team and you can see it in the way we play. And physically the players are done, every single game we play, after the 75th minute there are about 5-6 players that cannot run anymore or worse. This also happens every single season with us.

I would sack him now, he will never win anything in his life. If we get a guy who is not a eunuch we might just win something.
