Mikel Arteta: Everybody Hurz(eler)

My whole issue here is this felt so reminiscent to Birmingham in the Carling Cup final when you could sense the fear of our lack of success heavily playing on our minds and we invited a hugely inferior side with a bunch of washed up scrubs to make us fumble. Without us being our own worst enemy with Szczesny and Koscielny sh*tting their pants, Birmingham didn’t really have much of a chance IIRC.
Going 2-0 down to Hull in the FA Cup final also.

Yeah in early October it looked like we were gonna be a team that would win any of the last few title races.

It was that period where city had one win in five and we somehow matched them that let me know this was gonna be one of those ‘may the least sh*t man win’ titles.

If he loses a title to a rebuilding City then he should be ashamed of himself.

I'm calmer now and I do have to wonder about Arteta. When I think back to how we were and how overall we've been the last few years it's night and day. He's raised the standards in so many ways and really if you take a step back has been amazing but is flawed and doesn't seem to be able to do the last 5%.

I remember when Ferguson hired Carlos Quieroz to help with tactics. Sometimes wonder if Arteta needs someone else as the number 2 to make that little bit of difference.

Take me back to the Wigan game where I didn't have to watch Riceball smh he's one of the main reasons we play the way we do but people don't acknowledge it.

He's one of the few players that played a line breaking pass in this game; his resulted in our opening goal. That's the literal opposite of the bad habits in our play.

Don't think it matters, just look at Zubi.

He's been turned into a recycling the ball machine.

It's pointless to say anything about Arteta.
Everything has already been said 1000 times, we all know his flaws.
He will not change.

I repeat, I hope that he will go by himself in the end of the season.
I'm afraid that the board wouldn't want to sack him.

The fact that Arteta refuses to even use Nørgaard who is a perfectly cromulent PL player to sit Zubi down who had an absolute nightmare performance...I'm just lost for words.

It's actually at the point where he needs to explain himself. Same with White, are you telling me he couldn't have given us 20 minutes here?
ben white perfect play as starter in this game against wolves

I get that, but Arteta and the club are better at this than during the late Wenger and Emeri stints respectively.

Berta gets the chop far earlier than Arteta.

We're back to a posh version of late-Wenger, where everyone is grateful for what he's done for the club and have no exit strategy.

Like our Arsène calendar year runs or the days we play absolutely scintillating football, a solid Artera performance vs Sp**s or City and everyone is back on the wagon.
But we have no reason to be. He's won one FA Cup in 6 years with significant backing. Arsène got more rope than he probably should have otherwise because they owed it to him for staying to guarantee the stadium loan and getting top 4 with no investment for all those years. As much as it might not have been the best sporting decision to persist with Arsène to the point we did (particularly with minimal investment until the last year or so) there was at least a history there which justified it.

This guy has been backed pretty well in terms of time and finances. The last argument that could have been made in his favor was that Edu was an idiot who left him short. Berta has given him all the tools AND the entire league has tried to give him a title before March. He's throwing it away and I simply cannot see the people who are sinking tens of millions of dollars or the supporters not being able to see that and recognize the need to move on.

Yep the usage of Nørgaard and white is only going to push me over the edge and as it is it really costing us massively as well. We were struggling with possession and he just won't bring these 2 on.

despite he got huge salary 15m per year but i really believe this bottled lead 2-0 against worst team wolves will affect his mental health

He’ll win the league and we won’t sack him, a lot of it will be swept under the carpet.

I said it before that we’re going to have a Slot-esque post title hangover.

The tactics today were the worst I've ever seen from Teta. Why did we go long at EVERY opportunity? When has Gyökeres ever convincingly won a header? What happened to playing football with our feet? Why did Zubimendi get 90 minutes when he couldn't make a single forward pass? Why did he bring on Calafiori instead of Mosquera? Why why why? That's all I end by saying come the end of every season with this guy at the helm.

It was a good cross but not like he's putting through balls in for the forwards, one of our main players everyone praises is a defensive brexit player and people wonder why we're boring. Give me some actual attacking midfielders.

Zubimendi is a DM so that's his job more or less but it's the two 8/10s that need to create something and Rice/Saka ain't gonna do that. We need a Merino, Ødegaard or Havertz in there as much as Arsenal fans hate those players.

Really, really disappointing and unacceptable result.

We are still in the drivers seat though.

The manager and players need to get their heads on straight and their **** together. Immediately. No time to feel sorry for ourselves.
we already bottled this title race even before mancity play and mancity have 1 game in hand now which even worse for us
