No manager in football history has been supported the way Arteta has been supported.

The board has stuck with him, and the majority of the fans have backed him. He has been allowed to sign players like Havertz and Madueke for over £50m, even when many saw them as rejects or questionable signings.

He has been given almost complete control at the club.

In over six years of Arteta as manager, we haven’t sold a single player for more than £50m.

Forget Wenger— even Ferguson, who won everything at Manchester United, never had this kind of luxury.

56. Thats how many minutes Nørgaard has played in the league. In Arteta's defence we often question why someone isn't playing (White) only for the evidence to present itself after a string of games.

But less than a 100 minutes is absurd.
We had the option to go for Agoume, a young DM with a lot of promise, but we opted for Nørgaard for his PL experience. Well, that PL expertise sure came in handy. 56 minutes all season because the coach doesn't trust him. Hilarious how people can defend any bad decision as long as Arteta says so.

We’re like a posh Everton or Stoke. Throw in a bunch of PR, marketing, win the dog, some stuff about lightbulbs and “we don’t win we don’t lose” etc.
Everton play better football. Did you see how they destroyed Chelsea by three goals a few weeks ago?

I hope Mikel Arteta paid attention to what Thierry Henry & Ian Wright said about our loss to Bournemouth, basically both saying that to win titles you don't do it just by straight out defending, you win titles by making an effort to attack & defend, just sitting back passing back & continually just across.
,
One also said he should have gone into the match by saying this opponent is Bournemouth, not like they were Bayern or Madrid.

I said this **** years ago and got death threats from @hydrofluoric acid because of it.

He's not defensively adept he's just negative and has a massive amount of talent and money at his disposal. His defensive talent ID is good to be fair to him but it's not like he's able to build a cohesive defensive unit from a ragtag bunch like e.g. Simeone did in the past.
I agree with everything you have said but the last line. Did you see our line up when we initially hired him? We have come a long way from the likes of Tavaes, Soares to Timber and Hincappie and Calafiori. From El Neny to what we have now.

The problem is your first line which I agree with, that he's incredibly needlessly. We could clap and appreciate that if we were keeping clean sheets, which we aren't even doing now. We are letting in 2 goals most games. So may as well go attack!

It will be interesting to see how he does in the future for sure. This team he has assembled is built for the PL only, and if we had just one attacker firing at world class level this season then the plan would have worked and we already won the league. But we kinda been playing with most out of form for one reason or another which is a really shame.

How will he build a team in other easier league and for CL. Will he continue with what we see here or do something different.

Because I really dont think last 4 months really reflect him as a manager. I think he is a lot better than this.
It won't be pretty for him, especially if he has aspirations to one day coach Barca/Madrid/PSG.

At the super clubs, the players call the shots. They don't care if you were a club legend or not, the players come first and the board will side with them in any dispute.

There are two major issues stopping Arteta from entering the S-tier of coaches. 1) His cowardice. 2) His refusal to buy elite attacking talent. Imagine going to PSG and asking for Madueke and Havertz. They would laugh him out of the room. Dembele would hand in a transfer request if he had to play with Gyökeres.

You misunderstood me and are actually reinforcing my point, he had to get rid of all those guys to be able to finish higher than midtable. He's able to build a good backline if you give him enough money as he can pick a defender in the market but he's not able to get flawed players to defend or play well in any shape or form.

Well sorry that when people tell me about world class midfielders I expect someone that can create chances and play passes through to the attack. Didn't know we now praise midfielders for doing CB stuff but I'm just old school I guess.
I been saying Rice has been a major issue for the construct of the team overall since we signed him.

What? I was **** scared of you until like 2 years ago when I felt I got on your good side. My wife used to say "What did jones say now?" when she found me in the foster position sobbing in the bed. I never dared to send you a death threats.

Can we have a poll to determine the current mood of the A-M brethren for Teta? @albakos @A_G @blaze_of_glory

A- Retain if he wins PL/CL
B- Sack if he finishes trophyless
C- GHTFO regardless

:alert: :alert: :alert: :alert:BREAKING :alert::alert::alert::alert:

New poll is up for the next 5 days.

FYI this is a personal opinion thing not what you think the club might do.

No way he’s leaving on his own accord btw.

They’re preparing a 20M a year contract for this guy. Why the hell woud you leave

Made this point earlier, but if he bottled the title like he just might with us, but at another big European club, he would be sacked before the last game of the season was played.

How do you get the best out of a striker who:

- Can't outrun 99% of the CBs in the league
- Doesn't win aerial duels
- Can't hold up the ball
- Can't create separation from the defender
- Can't dribble
- Can't play back to goal
- Doesn't attack crosses in the box
Gyok’s weaknesses exacerbate the weaknesses we already have in our front line but after almost a full season now I think it’s fair to say that he’s not really the problem here.

Called it, he already convinced the board.
